After reading so much of JORR over the years it is clear that he is really a Cubbie at heart.

Who exactly is the "Sox fan" who says he prefers to see the Cubs win a WS to seeing the Sox win one? Because I'd have to say that guy isn't a Sox fan at all.

If you listen to B&B and don't think Bernstein is a Cub fan, there's no helping you.

Why are you changing the statement to saying he prefers to see the Cubs win over the Sox?

Brick is one to start with. He has said now that the Sox have won their World Series title he hopes the Cubs get theirs. And I am fairly sure there have been a few more wdelaney perhaps?

I do listen to B&B. He has stated numerous times that he is a Sox fan. I see no reason to say he is a liar over what team he is a fan of.

I'm not changing anything. That's what McNeil said. You're a Cub fan, right? Are you rooting for someone else next season because the Cubs "got theirs"? If someone said they were would you really consider him a Cub fan?

Because it's as clear as day when you hear him talk about either team for more than 5 minutes. And it's not just because of the different directions between the two teams either. It was clear he had much more affection for the Cubs 5-10 years ago too. Like JORR said, its a dumb thing to lie about, but it is also clearly a lie to anyone who has listened.

This is true RFDC. Mac did say he would prefer the Cubs to win one over the Sox after 2005, but after that he would go back to hoping the Sox won more.

Well I did quit on the White Sox last year.

But I would like the White Sox to win it over any other team. I'm just not too upset if they don't. I got my 2005. Leash got his 2016. Killer V got to cry because evil Sox fans didnt jump off bridges.

Bernstein is a Cubs fan. He always has been a Cubs fan.

He may have had a White Sox fan phase but that's because of his personality of being a contrarian douchebag. His Sox fandom is insincere.

Yep, and the whole Ivan Calderon thing is an insincere construct designed to illustrate the haplessness of the Sox.

I was referencing your original statement that said nothing about preferring the Cubs to get one over the Sox. It said that since the Sox got one they hoped the Cubs got one.

Mac is meatball bandwagon fan. He always has been. Anyone that would jump from the Bears to the Packers has no clue about being a fan. So I don't take his statements as meaning anything in regard to a true fan.

If you actually read it I was talking about a specific incident with Mac that FavreFan has confirmed. Regardless, if you "hope the Cubs get one" that means the Sox aren't getting one that year. There can't be two champions. And if that's your thought, how much of a Sox fan could you be? It would be like saying, "The Bears have enough championships, I hope the Vikings and Packers win a few."

What the fuck?

Was it a mass grave?

And in 1994, no less. Wasn't he singing showtunes by then?

I never knew what Pat Hughes looked like until the parade/rally. I thought he was a sad old man based solely upon his voice. I never expected him to look like that. He had an Italian boss vibe to him.
