Dallas kicked the Hawks teeth in a lot last year so fuck them. Don't know if CH's favorite punching bag Jordy Benn still plays with them or even that a douche Rousell. Go Hawks or something. 7pm start Channel 9

They've weathered the storm quite nicely this game.

Ice has been tilted both periods, left to right.

I messed that up. I've moved to bourbon

What the Hawks have done with Panik is how you use a project player like him: simplify his game down to doing one thing really well and make him do it a lot. It's just like how the Hawks fashioned a well-rounded but unfinished Michael Frolik into an elite penalty killer. (Having 2013's unenforced salary cap to pay Michael Frolik to be an elite penalty killer, of course, helped.)

See Krueger.

Yeah, I was thinking about Kruger, but it's hard to call him a true project player when he's only ever been in one organization: no team ever gave up on him. (I think four have given up on Viktor Stalberg.) But yeah, I do remember when people heralded Marcus Kruger as a genuine #2 center, and to say that never came to pass is quite an understatement.

Well, that's one way to end a game.

Win tomorrow night against this gutted roster, get a quick four-point jump on the Stars, and you start setting up some breathing room.

Sure looked like a 5-1 loss based on the first period. They held their own and Caller Bob punched them.

Probably Lettin' In v. Darling tomorrow, God only knows what the score of that one will wind up being.

I liked Pat Foley's comment about how losing Ales Hemsky for the year hurts the Stars, while noting he himself has always thought Ales Hemsky sucks.
