I've taken in a few newer shows with the new year, and some are pretty intriguing, some are garbage:

Celebrity Apprentice: Omarosa, Gene Simmons and the snooty English dude alone make this show worth watching. Trump's daughter's breasts seem larger than life. His son has all the charisma of tofu.

Celebrity Detox: Riveting stuff, but very troubling. WTF happened to Kenickie from Grease? I feel fortunate never having to deal with any family or friends with serious alcohol or drug dependency issues.

The common thread of the two shows? A Baldwin brother!

American Gladiator: Rubbish

REALLY looking forward to the Sarah Connor Chronicles - it's getting rave reviews. ...and Lost is Lost - it's gonna be great this year, and then probably suck as it winds down (just as JJ Abrams other creation - Alias - did).

Yesterday was a pretty crappy day for me. Yesterday would have been night one of the two-night 24 premiere. But thanks to the writer's strike, FOX has decided to hold off on the start of Season 7 until the whole season can be completed.

So I kind of boycotted Terminator because of that. The new Family Guy last night was pretty good.

And Lost will be a welcome addition to my now meager TV watching schedule.

I thought the new Terminator was pretty entertaining as a mindless action hour.

Much better than Bionic Woman which was a meandering mess of a plotline with the exception of Katee Sackhoff who was fantastic. That show should have been about her.

Dyer, you are dead on. No matter how good that Terminator show is, it just isn't 24, which means it's not good enough.

I'm just watching for the scene where John Connor sees the current governor of Khalifornia on Fox news and has a flashback.

Yeah Family Guy (and American Dad) were great last night. I watched the Sarah Connor Chronicles and was very disappointed. It was just mindless action crap with them running away from things the whole time. For this show to succeed they need to come up with some new, creative ideas to drive the story and not live on the success of Terminator 2's story like they did last night. I'll give it one or two more episodes but am done if this is all it is. Gladiators is also wearing on me quickly especially with the scripted cheesy contestant interviews. Here's how they all go...

"Contestant ready?"
"HECK YEAH"

"How do you feel about this next event"
"I'm going to give it 110% and do my best to represent my parents blah blah blah milk toast"

I'm enjoying the hotness of Summer Glau. The show is no 24, but then 24 isn't on gentlemen.

Also Summer reminds me a bit of Reiko Aylesworth from 24 and that's a good thing. So, there's something for you 24 guys.

It's not a new tv show, but it's probably new to most of you.

Check out "Carpoolers" on ABC. I like it.

She looks great smiling in that first picture but I thought she looked like shit on the show. I know she's a terminator but she's obviously supposed to be the eye candy and it's like they gave her "blank stare" acting classes for this show. Didn't look nearly as good as those pictures.

I've go the script for 24 for you guys - so relax, I'll save you months of wasted time.

A very gaunt and barely recognizable Jack Bauer is asked to save Western civilization from the clutches of a nut job.

Despite suffering life threatening injuries and having family and/or friend tortured, threatened and/or killed, Jack runs around waving a gun screaming into a two way radio or a cell phone and prevents disaster.

Then he lights up a square, gets drunk, hops in his car and spends a few months in the pokie.

Celebrity Apprentice is great. I hated this show but I'm totally digging it.

I agree. I'm really into this season. It's too bad Gene Simons got fired. It was his own fault, bonehead.

Is this show a guilty pleasure?

I'm a little disappointed in Vincent Pastore.

Where was Tito Ortiz this week?

He had a fight to be at. It made the teams 5 guys vs 4 girls. Making the teams a little more even for the ladies sake, Trump rolled with it.

They are doing a second season of celebrity apprentice but I don't know who the celebrities are.

MFers ran Lost, Celebrity Rehab and Celebrity Apprentice all at the same time to fuck up my Tivo lifestyle.

I heard this was the last year for the Apprentice. Once Gene Simmons got voted off the show it lost it's panache.

Lost was very good again - as usual.

That would be cool if people could vote for their fav. celeb and then Trump go gets them.

Anyways my vote would be for Gene to come back. He was awesome.

... and Brooke Burke.

They should have all four original members of KISS on the next show. Then you'd see why Ace Frehley and Peter Criss got 'fired'. Gene Simmons has probably had more brain cells die than those two clowns ever had.
