Are you really supporting slave labor because you like cheap smartphones?

Honest question: do you think America can stop economic globalization through economic policies such as tariffs? Or do you think that globalization is inevitable?

Honestly, that's beyond my scope. Anything I said would just be piping and another bullshit opinion without requisite knowledge behind it. But I do think we can make attempts to be as moral as possible and most of us would be willing to pay a little more for products made without child/slave labor.

Funny thing is that that's exactly the public position Wal-Mart took back in the late 80's. Until the "corporate good" trumped it.

This. I never thought of JORR as being naive but...wow.

I'll also add that those jobs aren't coming back. Doesn't matter who the president is...they're gone forever. Better option is to train for jobs that can't be automated, outsourced or those that service their replacement (robots, computers, et al).

Automation is the reason most of those jobs are gone. Probably 80% of them.

Cheap labor overseas-- like less than what pay rates in 1956 were-- is why most of the jobs are gone.

I voted for Trump.
That whole national security problem Hillary has made it impossible for me to vote for her. Knowing who her money comes from bothers me. Her sense of entitlement is distasteful. I found her carpet bagging disingenuous. She feels as fake as a 3 dollar bill to me too. Trump is what he is. He's not putting on a false face.he is what he is.
I don't think Trump can be bough . I'm positive Hillary can be.
Had Trump run against any one of dozens of others Hillary beat in the primaries he doesn't get my vote. She is the only opponent of his that forces my vote to him.
Now I'm going to be called a racist, a sexist, uneducated by Hillary supporters. That's quite unfortunate. I'm not racist. I'm not a misogynistic uneducated Rube.
In my opinion they're both just terrible people. Yet I held my nose and cast my lot with him. He's the definition of a political outsider. That's great for the bullshit good ol boy network that dominated the political scene. I hope he does piss off both sides of the aisle. I hope he shakes them all off their comfortable perches.
Like I said before, this government needs an enema.

Can you imagine the sinking feeling of the guy that has to give Trump the Nuclear codes?

I mean is that Obama himself that does that? I don't know. I can't imagine to many other people that have access to those codes. Maybe the President, the VP and the general.

Here's an article about the codes and when Trump will get them.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/donald-trump-nuclear-codes-how-9223920

According to the Washington Post, a military aide must stay close to the US President at all times carrying a briefcase known as the 'nuclear football'.

It contains a book known as 'the biscuit' which contains a list of strike options, a list of secure bunkers where the president can be sheltered; instructions for using the Emergency Broadcast System; and a 3-by-5-inch card with authentication codes for the president to confirm his identity.

Man I'll say that this election showed some true colors about people for sure. If you don't agree with these guys it's because you're stupid or racist or sexist or something horrible. Because obviously no one in their right mind could possibly disagree with you. That is dangerously close to entitlement mentality.

Well ill concede that we don't know whether he can be bought or not. He's got plenty of money so I'm guessing it would take an awful lot. We already know whether Hillary can be bought.

Is it bullshit to feel she's a bit cavalier with national security?
My opinion is that enough questions have been raised.
Is it bullshit to say she can be bought?
Perhaps we examine her donor list.
Is it bullshit to find her unlikable or disingenuous?
I'd say that's a matter of personal opinion but the Cubs hat then Yankee hat wearing carpet bagging senator can easily and understandably come off as disingenuous to some.

What is completely offensive is to assume it's racist for some reason to not want Hillary running the country. It's an old political game to call people you disagree with stupid. Doesn't change that it's just plain wrong to assume someone not liking Hillary is because ether have a low IQ.

What's funny to me is that a lot of people who voted for Obama voted Trump this time around. Are those intelligent enlightened people suddenly racist hill rods?

I kinda said that we don't know if he can be... but we know she can be. No I don't suspect he can be bought. Just a guess on my part. I don't think his ego would allow it
I don't know why he's running. Rarely in my opinion does a candidate run because he or she loves America. More commonly, again, in my opinion, it has to do with acquiring power. It's most commonly an ego thing.

Trump is many things but I do not believe he is a liar. He is not a politician he is a businessman. A quite rich one at that. I will take a chance that he can at least try to fix some of the problems we as a country have been divided on for way over eight years. Obama has never had a job outside of taxpayers money footing his way for life and this will continue until he croaks.

For the record, I think you're sexist but not racist. One out of two ain't bad.

I just read a bullshit excuse but at least someone came out of the closet.
In a perverted sort of way I am happy that he won. I wanted Hillary make no mistake about it but I think that Trump's election has taken the scab off a portion of America that most people believed was long ago buried.

I am not a race baiter nor an apologist for African Americans. I think you have seen me take blacks to tasks on a number of issues on this board. That said the notion that racism in this country was eradicated simply because Obama was elected is something that always bothered me. This other notion that Trump's candidacy wasn't heavily fueled by racism and xenophobia was also troubling.

Why everyone keeps talking about the person that Hillary Clinton was while conveniently ignoring who Trump happens to be is mind-boggling. This jackass insulted every fucking body on his way to the Presidency and people cheered his ass on every step of the way.

They either completely ignored who he is or didn't care. They could make about her but in their quest to perpetually spin everything it became apparent that nothing he did was ever "bad enough".

This idiot is now repping this country. Yeah people were angry because they what, finally got a chance to taste how disenfranchisement feels? Yeah they had economic angst whoopty fucking doo. This sort of shit African Americans have felt throughout most of their lives and the same people that now laud working class whites are the same ones that have blasted blacks and other minorities for years. Often called them lazy, shiftless and when they weren't doing that they simply criticized them for having the "audacity" to complain at all.

Among this group you'd find those that would constantly blast minorities for their lack of education. Trump's hypocritical ass staunchly criticized blacks for not being educated and called their schools fucked up but had no problem referring to counterpart whites as the ones this country left behind. Why wasn't this same rationale extended to blacks of similar station? I think we know why don't we?

That said I'm going to watch accept and hope that he governs in a fashion different than he campaigned. He deserves the right as the winner to have his day. I will try to be objective but it's going to be rough. As Speeps stated a while back a number of Presidents have been racists. Some have checked it at the door in order to do what they believed is the right thing to do. Trump's history doesn't suggest that he will do that but we will see. If he doesn't this has the potential to tear this country apart.

Blacks in this country are angry, as are Muslims, Hispanics and other minorities too. Working class whites don't have a monopoly on being angry. This thing has the potential to be a damn disaster but we will see.
