I asked because I was just reading the Tribune and there is a whole section of articles with overwrought reactions to the election of Trump and a common theme seems to be women assuring each other and their daughters that in spite of Hillary's loss they are still "valid".

No, but I don't identify with her and I don't tie myself to other people in that way. Her failure is hers, not mine. Her success has been hers, not mine. Hillary doesn't represent all women and the women in the trib don't represent me, they sound like they'd be like Julie. There's no reason their daughters can't be great, this isn't any sort of real set back for them.

I believe 50% of the women voted against her, so I could see 50% of the women being very disappointed that she didn't beat a reality TV clown.

Most qualified presidential candidate since HW couldn't beat the least qualified presidential candidate in the history of our country. I don't think it's wrong for people to wonder if a woman can become president of our country. Make no mistake about it there won't be another woman as qualified on paper any time soon.

You keep mentioning most qualified as if it's a good thing. Most people think she's most qualified to take money from places she shouldn't. Most qualified to help her friends and not the people. Most qualified to lie or flip on issues they don't want her to flip on. You know what you'd be getting and it's terrible. I don't think people want to sign up for that anymore. I think people are done with the far left and the far rights that the 2 parties pander to. I don't think my mom voted for her and I don't think she has ever voted anything but Democrat. That's bad.

Most qualified should be a good thing when you are talking about the highest office in our country. Who do you think Trump cares about? No one but himself and his daughter. Hillary isn't liberal. That's one of the reasons I've never liked her. She's more conservative on everything except social issues than Trump will ever be. She's what we used to call a Blue Dog Democrat.

Not when it sucks, lots of people don't want more of the same. Who do you think Hillary cares about? Nobody but herself and I won't even include her daughter. Hillary isn't anything but what she thinks people want to hear so she can be in power and get more money. Trump beat her. That should tell you what people think of her or what they think of the system.

I hate Trump. I sat there in abject shock on election night and thought I can't believe this is happening. H'e not a serious candidate, doesn't even want the job. Truth be told though, if I voted, I don't know that I could have voted for Hillary. I'm glad I didn't have to make the choice.

If she's a Blue Dog Democrat and closer to a Republican, why do Democrats vote for her?
