When the Blackhawks had all three of their parades (but especially the first two) the Score spent a great deal of airtime having different hosts cast doubt on the announced attendance figures and talk about their own napkin math to arrive at the real total. I'm guessing there's a lot less of that happening with the Cubs.

Why was it lacking?

The record attendance for Taste of Chicago is 3.9 million in 2005 but that was over a 10 day period.

An extra 30k on the Metra makes me question how 5 million people got to the parade.
