Ok, so it factored into many votes amongst other reasons. But who are you say that this SJW movement can't be challenged by electing a politician that changes the culture and opens up the dialogue. Just the fact of him talking openly about the problems of immigration and getting elected breaks the taboo and weakens the hold of the SJWs just a tiny bit. It's a push back that needs to happen in many people's opinion. Maybe you are in favor the the increased policing of speech, but in the battle against it I think Trump as president, clown that he is, is a positive thing.

If there's a "policing of speech" angle here, it's coming from you. Trump or no Trump, there was never any barrier for anyone pushing back against what they perceived to be over the top identity politics or whatnot.

But you admitted this SJW stuff is rooted in academa and well-funded activists and the media is picking up on it big time. So there is a power structure that intimidates people. And there certainly is policing of speech going on that leads to huge pressure applied for small infractions costing people jobs or reputation.

The average person wants to see people in power providing a voice for their side or even just saying fuck you to the pc crowd.

This is correct.

They said that yesterday, when he met with Obama, you could tell that reality was starting to set in for him. He was tense and pre-occupied as though the weight of the job might crush him.

He actually criticized Hillary Clinton for having the audacity to prep for a debate. He thought it was sort of nerdy. This is the idiot that we just elected President.

y'know, like much of America (the country) I'm really done with debates.

It's all a series of talking points, pointing out the other candidate's oopsies, etc. Hillary's debate prep seemed to involve a lot of pre-rehearsed "zingers". I understand Trump making fun of "prepping" for debate, especially in her case. He values speaking off the cuff.

How about instead of prepping for the debate, both candidates speak separately, cannot mention their opponent or their opponent's policies, but instead tell us their policy plans on five crucial issues. That's a "debate" I can get behind.

That's not a debate. It's a joint press conference.

While it can be taken to absurd extremes and has become accepted as a derogatory term, political correctness has actually been a good thing. In most cases it illustrates our growth as a culture.

If you mean manners and not insulting people is a good thing, I agree. But the problem with political correctness is that it is necessarily undergirded with an assumption of bad intentions.

it's a convoluted phrase. "political correctness". what's the purpose of trying to sound like something rather than just sounding like what you're trying to say? that's why it's phony.

like saying "people of color". how is this different than saying "colored people", which was a (rightfully) reviled phrase. but it's the newest buzz word, and considered politically correct. what does this accomplish?

it's just empty, soulless drivel. it's a safety net for those too afraid to say what they really mean.

you can certainly be polite without being politically correct. there are ways to be genuinely well mannered and respectful. once you add the word "political" to anything you start dirtying it up.

you know, the other day i got to thinking "what if trump effectively trolled the SJWs/left to get a rise out of them with all of his "anti-mexican/muslim" stuff ?? then as time goes on maybe his own people link all the stuff like GRAB HER RIGHT IN THE PUSSY in order to keep on upping the ante/outrage that these SJWs were building up and ultimately unleashing on "the silent majority," you know, the "good ol fashioned god-fearing folk" who have yet to discover the joyous glory of tipping one's fedora in the name of Athiesm on their youtube channel? the resulting backlash (which i saw one black dude call a WHITELASH! lol i'm guessing somewhere along the way #BLM hung a L on "backlash" in order to give us "blacklash" which ultimately gave us "whitelash" -- and read into that for double entendres/puns/etc all you want =P ) results in a tidal wave of "retribution" from the silent majority who was demonized en masse over the last 6-12+ months, and of course donald trump calmly and coolly surfs that tidal wave as it crashes onto the shores of washington DC, ultimately depositing him @ the white house... in "Deal With It" pixelated sunglasses, of course! 8) 8) 8)

Where do you find websites like this? They claim that neither got 60M votes, yet every other site says the both broke 60M.

You definitely voted for Gary Johnson.
