Sports radio listeners are predominantly white men. It seems to make sense to have remotes where your listeners are. I'm pretty sure the promotion department is in charge of remotes, not Dan Bernstein himself.

They actually said on the show a few times that the beer sponsor chooses where they go. They are the ones paying for it and they do it to reward clients.

I was going to say, it seems to me like they're usually way out somewhere in Bumfuck, Egypt. Once in awhile they get somewhere in the City or maybe Evanston but most often they're west of Harlem Avenue.
