It might not be the same place but I think it is. It may not have been called Stufflebeam's but that was the guy I knew who owned it. Maybe this isn't the place but I think it was on Main Street. I think Stufflebeam went on to be mayor of Farmington.

It's an accepted colloquialism, as odd as it may seem, that anything outside of the Chicago suburbs is "downstate".
