I'm not missing the point at all. If your goal is just to find a way to still be a "whatabouter" now that BHO is about to be gone, then you are succeeding.

I've never posted anything that was pro-Trump anywhere in my life. As much as I am disgusted by Clinton, had I lived in a state where there was the slightest chance of Trump winning I would have voted for her. And really, at the time I didn't think a Clinton administration would be much different than a Trump administration. Frankly, I'm surprised that Trump is surrounding himself with these recycled right-wing loons. I half expect Rumsfeld to show up in contention for a cabinet post.

That just goes to show that Trump really doesn't believe in a damn thing. He's certainly never expressed any traditionally conservative viewpoints. I don't even really think he's pro-life. I just think he knew he needed evangelical support to have any chance at a nomination. if I had to bet, my money would be that he has paid for an abortion or two himself. The whole basis for choosing these people is loyalty rather than ideology. Which is why Romney has no shot at being part of the administration.

Anyway, you don't have to support Trump to recognize blind partisanship from others. For example, one of my ex-girlfriends has been on Facebook constantly pounding Trump over the Trump U. settlement. It seems completely lost on her that Bill Clinton received $18 million as an "honorary chancellor" from a for profit university. And here's the real kicker- she works as a marketer for a for profit university herself. I wonder if she ever does any soul searching over all the poor electronics experts and nurses with stacks of debt that can't find jobs.

My goal was simply to ask LTG, the guy who posted the link to the article, what his real concern was, since conflicts of interest with foreign entities could not possibly be a very critical issue for someone who was such a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton.

Was his honorary chancellorship part of a scheme to defraud people or was it paid to curry favor potentially from a former President? We know the answer to both questions. While the latter is sleazy and is directly related to political connections what Trump did with Trump University was illegal.
