I played a lot of sports. In fact, my sophomore year, we should have won state but got beat in the Elite Eight by an inferior team (we fumbled 8 times), but we had a chance to win it at the end... But the refs called an illegal formation that didn't exist when we were on their 3 yard line. It's on the tape and was clearly wrong.

But you know what? We survived, and people still talk about it to this day.

Let kids learn life ain't fair. The refs didn't do it on purpose.
