Plus, they are not in Trumps corner look at all the crying and complaining when he won. No way 20 years ago you would have seen legitimate news people doing that kinda shit after an election. Add to the fact the total lack of respect for Trump and his family we already have people openly mocking his family, never had that shit during Obamas term, that would have been sacrilegious. Hell the eldest got caught smoking pot and it was a non-story.
I am also disturbed at the lack of balls by most of you. 3 times so far after the election LTG has compared Trump and his followers to Nazis and you fucking ball-less wonders let it slide once again showing the double standard around here. When someone even mentions Obama and his penchant for killing civilians the usual suspects are up in arms about it.

Fuck yeah. Especially in the family part. Ivanka and Jared attend one meeting with the Japs and the MSM goes berserk. You'd think we just got nuked. But the MSM doesnt say shit about Obamas wife being in the white House or his kids taking pictures with former presidents. Same shit crooked would have pulled if she successfully rigged the election but thank God she sucks at that too.

 His wife being in the White House.

so i wonder how many political-based mults we're going to have now.....for those who aren't comfortable having others know their views

I actually think a number of things that he does is essentially fascist. Your only recollection of Hitler is probably the Holocaust but there are things about him that go beyond that. Do I think Trump is going to exterminate people? No.

But when you look at things that he has done during the campaign it is reminiscent of Fascist govts if you are aware of Fascist govts

I am well aware of what Fascists are and what they do. I think you using that word like you are is disturbing and the fact that the majority of the people here just letting you once again shows that there is a double standard here.
You are a sad little man. You are like that guy preaching on State street

And you are an idiot if you don't think that there are large elements of Fascism to what Trump is doing. Can you explain why it isn't or will you just resort to the usual personal stuff because when in doubt that seems to always work you.

How about this. You make the case that he isn't and I will make the case that he is and hopefully we can meet in the middle. You say you understand Fascism lets find out.

Do I think Trump is going to turn Bernstein into a lampshade? No... But Germany was also a "Democracy" when Hitler came to power.

The difference is their institutions weren't as strong. If someone tried to pass the Enabling Act in modern-day America, it just wouldn't happen. I'm sure there are some idiots who would ve in favor, though.

The German military always had the authority to stop him and they didn't. The Hitler of 1945 was not the Hitler of 1933. He had crazy ideas and no one took him too seriously. Every step of the way people believed that he would never go as far as he did. Trump isn't that but he has qualities which are essentially fascist.

Also, Germany was in much worse shape in the waning days of the Weimar Republic than the United States is in 2016. The allies really created Hitler with the beatdown they gave the losers after WWI. That was a lesson that was well learned and not repeated in the wake of WWII.

Hitler never believed that Germany lost WWI. He wanted WWII and he wanted the outcome to be decisive.

I don't think we're as far away from this moment as you think. 9/11 showed us exactly how "malleable" our political institutions can be during "national emergencies". Remember, it was the burning of the Reichstag that made the Enabling Act possible. And as Christopher Hedges argued almost a decade ago in The Death of the Liberal Class, neoliberalism has weakened many of our "public" institutions--labor unions, the press, academia, parts of our government itself, etc--making it unlikely they could effectively combat the rise of a reactionary or autocratic ruler. Neoliberalism is effectively the gateway to fascism.

Well, they kind of really didn't, but they got punished as if they had. WWI is forgotten history for the most part, but very interesting. In its immediate aftermath it was thought of pretty much the way we think of Vietnam, like a big waste of time with no real winners.

Yeah and contrary to what Chas and Darkside have intimated i really was pretty reluctant to go there. There are a lot of similarities to any fascist leader that I have ever read about. Are all of the qualities there No but is it more because of the systems or him?

My guy Bernie telling the media to STFU!

Quote:
“My major lament of the campaign is that media goes overboard to make sure that we do not have the kind of serious discussion we need,” Sanders said in an interview with GQ magazine published Tuesday, “and that it is kind of a little bit strange that you have to go on a comedy show in order to have five minutes to talk about serious issues.”

While Sanders praises shows such as “The Ellen Degeneres Show” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers” for the “enormous exposure” they gave his campaign, he said, “What does that say about American political culture, that you have to go on a comedy show? I'm old-fashioned, and I think that politics and public policy are serious issues that need serious discussion, and as a nation I think we need a revolution in media.”

http://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/30 ... rent-media

Oh and...
Quote:
Sanders also expressed admiration for one of his biggest and earliest celebrity supporters, Killer Mike, calling the rapper a “serious” and “extremely bright guy.”

When asked if someone had to explain to him who Killer Mike was, Sanders replied, “Yes, they did. The name got me a little bit nervous. But Killer Mike has never killed anybody. It’s just, he’s a killer rapper.”

I've been trying to flesh out a 'President Don Tiny Trump' (or something like that) mult but nothing has materialized worth a damn so far.

Oh he is at the very least operating on a cult of personality level. I unlike you also saw that as far more prevalent on the Democratic side with Obama and HRC.
Fascism is where government and corporate are merged, sort of like what your Democrat friends have been doing for the past 8 years ,and as a matter of fact here in Illinois for a lot longer, with all the regulations, oversight and "Czars". One of the hallmarks of a fascist regime is the overlapping and fundamental impotent levels of government. For example there are 32 Federal, mind you federal, government oversight organization for teachers in this country. Think about that. Not unions, not hey lets get things done but bureaucratic paper pushing nonsensical money eating get nothing done because none knows who has authority entities.
That is the hallmark of fascist regimes. It is so the guy at the top is the only one who has a clear picture of what is going on and can get things done. Remind you of any one? To say that Trump is fascist in his attitude and handling of the media is somewhat correct but then you would have to then say that FDR,Truman and even Ike where because they went direct to the people whenever they wanted and cut out the press to get their message across. Chicago just last week had a perfect example of a dare I say fascist media ploy when Rham took over all the radio stations for a 30 minute "Town Hall", it was not. It was a 30 minute attempt by him to cushion the blow of his budget that he was shoving down the peoples throat and telling the citizens of Chicago that the crime wave was not that bad. In the entire 30 min he took 3 non live pre screened questions. He had 1,count it, 1 reporter there who I lost all respect for . Bill Curtis is now dead to me for taking part in that circus.

Repressed memories are memories that have been unconsciously blocked due to the memory being associated with a high level of stress or trauma. The theory postulates that even though the individual cannot recall the memory, it may still be affecting them consciously.

Obama parading all his celebrity pals in front of cameras with medals around their necks is a fucking joke and one of many "reasons democrats lost this election". Jordan? OK, he's the greatest pro athlete in world history. Springsteen? I guess, he's iconic enough. But Ellen fucking Degeneres? Robert Deniro? GMAFB.

The libtard obsession with celebrities is Fucking embarrassing. All celebrities can buy a round-trip ticket to Canada if you ask me. Goodbye forever. I'm a staunch opposer of celebrities manipulating the media and the public to increase there reputation or bank account. It's a strong reason why I voted for Trump this time around.
