It's Derrick Rose. Hometown kid, youngest MVP in NBA history, well liked by everyone and the assumption was he would only get better.

Fast forward 5 years and everybody hates him in his hometown, he can barely play and he was unceremoniously dumped to the fucking Knicks where he's been badmouthing the Bulls and Chicago. This guy was supposed to own the city, join the TRUE GREATS pantheon of Jordan, Payton, Hurt, Banks etc. NOTHING.
