Fantastic episode, one of my favorite all time. They did an amazing job giving Dwight some depth and showing us a glimpse into what it's like being a Savior.

With Daryl where he is, I wonder if this means they are gonna skip the story line from the comics where someone else is an unexpected visitor to Neganland? I hope they don't, really want to see that. I could see next week's episode ending with the folks at Rickland realizing one of their own is missing and then an episode ending shot of that person stowing away in the back of a truck with a machine gun. That would be awesome.

They need to do that. I know they love to rewrite stuff but that would be colossally stupid to skip over.

That's integral to the later story, too....so I hope we see it....

well, looks like the dropped the ball on this. Doesn't look like Carl is going to Negan's compound with the same mission he had in the comics. Plus having Jesus along for the ride pretty much guarantees it won't happen, really doubt Jesus would sign off on that. Also there's the little issue regarding Carl not having a machine gun, so there's that.

Oh well, was really hoping to see that. But, I guess I can see why its not in there. Rick's group already killed enough Saviors and got away with it, the TV storyline probably wouldn't work if carl went there and went all Columbine at Saviors home base and Negan reacted like it was no big deal (like he does in the comics). As Negan had already put it, Rick's group had already killed more of his people than he was comfortable with.

That said, I could see Carl getting captured and then the story can pivot and be similar to the comics.

Have been binge watching this for about 10 days and I'm about mid-4th season. I really like the show, but damn its a hard watch. If it's not the dead eating them, it's the survivors shooting them. Now it's 'bleeding eye' flu wiping them out, which leads to more dead eating them.... Any small moment of happiness that any of the characters get is so brief that it just sucks the life out of you.

It was a really hard show to binge watch. A lot of times I feel like its just gore porn and I am not getting anything out of it. This season has sucked balls and I hope they don't draw out the Negan and Rick battle into the next season.

So the point of that episode was to fill another hour of a shit season. Is this new group eventually the skin walkers from the comics?

No I think it was another group from the comics called Oceanside but no way to know for sure as the show is a bit different and on a different timeline. I have read
that the Whisperers may make an appearance by end of the season but my guess is that wouldn't be until possibly season finale. Very weak episode, not even sure
why it was needed. Do we assume Heath was captured then or do they leave it open since that actor is in the 24 reboot show?

I liked the episode. I like these stand alone episodes about supporting characters, especially when they alter the landscape of the world going forward.

I think its interesting that Alexandria now has no guns and Tara just found a place full of guns. I'm guessing that paradox will be explored in the future.

I think if you binge watch more than one season it seems like the same story line told with different actors and locations

In a way. I think Michael Rooker brought a whole lot to the show and stood out, as well as the Governor.

The Governor was great. His character had a depth not seen in any of the other bad guys.

This is a show based on a comics, folks. I'm not sure comic book villains rely too much on depth.

It would be impossible to be overweight in this society, its hot as fuck in Georgia and food is very scarce. The only way to be a fatty in that environment is if you found a 10 year cache of food and locked yourself in a room with it.

I'm also not buying the secret city on the sea with airhorns, bells and automatic weapons.

I was hoping she was going to get sniped, just as she swore to not reveal the location.. Then cut to Heath in his current setting, would have been a good episode.

What a piece of shit episode.

I might be down to skipping this and just binge watching it on days that I feel suicidal.

Alexandria is in far northern Virginia just south of the District of Columbia. The girl that was looking at the map in her room appeared to be
looking at a map of the Chesapeake Bay but I only noticed it in passing and made that assumption. There is no telling how far she had traveled
from Alexandria to forage but my guess is within 20-30 miles of Alexandria as she easily made her way back there.
