Fair enough. I don't think Boers is that bad of a guy, Nas's reaction just struck me as an overreaction to rogues post.

I do think that there are some people that are such horrible people that nobody should feel obligated to say nice things about them when they pass or get sick. Boers is obviously far from that. One of the first pissing matches I got into here was when I said something insulting about Ted Kennedy in his RIP thread.

Not until Spmack's mention of it did I see anyone bring up the Santo jokes. I'm surprised because if there is one single thing that soured me on TB is the Santo humor. I know the two of them hinted at Santo being a lousy human being and that somehow justified the terrible ribbing they gave him but I don't buy it. Santo strapped on those prosthetic legs and made the long painful trek up to the Radio booth at Wrigley everyday because he loved his job. With Terry,nobody really can say what's going on,nobody in the listening audience really knows shit about his illness and than he goes blubbering on the radio about how he must call it quits. It's nice to have a choice I guess. I lost my decent paying job after 23 years and a week later had my incident. I didn't cry but instead used humor to combat what had happened. Things aren't rosy for me either but I'm not blubbering like the weak soldier in Patton that get's slapped by George C. Scott. Ok,I'll get off my soapbox. But if Boers is trying to illicit sympathy for whatever his issue is,he needs to look elsewhere.

I'll remember Terry as one of the faces on the Mt. Rushmore of the Score that I grew to love and had strong loyalty to in my young adulthood. I'll remember him as the guy everyone who was close to him seemed to like (save for Murph). I'll also remember him as probably the most family oriented man at the station who was proud of the accomplishments of his children but never boastful.

The guy deserves to be hailed at this point.
