Earlier I was talking about their methods, which I find to be troublesome at best. NBC admitted that Perverted Justice initiated sex talk in some of the cases, and at one location of the episode law enforcement dropped all the charges because of the transcripts. It's a pre-crime type of arrest. And if we start arresting people who might commit a crime where does that stop? Potential terrorists? People who might commit murder?

It strike me as a moral dilemma that is more difficult to answer than the statement that sexual predators are bad and should be monitored, which I believe everyone agrees on.

It does, but only because as a society we have to set some standard. The age of eighteen is arbitrary. It's not like eighteen marks some magical threshold of maturity. Does anyone really think a 21 year old with a consenting sixteen year old partner should have his or her life ruined because of the liaison? It's certainly an ill-advised relationship and I think it's fair to place more responsibility on the older party, but to act as if it's the same as molesting a grade school child is just silly.

I'm in my thirties, and I went to a NIU men's game. the women's game was finishing up as I got there. The very first thought I had to myself was, these look like high school girls. When you get into very early 20's, its one thing to look at a 16-18 year old girl. After that, it's on you as a guy to be a bit more perceptive. Just my opinion.
