I give lawyers a lot of crap, but they're fine. I'm just surrounded by them and have to work with them frequently, and they can rub me the wrong way. The biggest issues I have with lawyers on "my side" is that many of them can't make a decision for fear of being legally exposed so they tend to drag things out to an absurd level. The ones on "the other side" often make ridiculous threats and demands in their letters on subjects they know little about, to the point where it's almost laughable. But that's only a small percentage - probably only 75% or so. There are some good ones.
