You may want to walk back your "man of diversity because I live in the city" persona now.

You defined urban as diverse, not I. Then I told you that the city is defined by neighborhoods that are not diverse.

I never said Sauganash was diverse. I said it was urban.

You have repeatedly teased Spaulding and others on the board about where they live and the lack of diversity in the suburbs.

You interjected race into today's discussion. Boyd highlighted the "diversity" you have chosen to surround yourself with.

You are just like the rest of us. Except for the diversity part.

Run, run, run.

The original post is asking if the board liberal or conservative. I noted the board's greatest demographic is white suburban males. Records show this group votes more conservative if you define that as Republican which answers the question that was asked.

Everything else you wrote in the above is noise to deflect. Your nose is out of joint because I added that people don't set foot into urban areas. Urban means the city to mean. It means some odd mixture of diversity and the necessity to own guns to you.

"White male" has a lot to do with liberal or conservative?

Time to log off sparky. You are getting flogged here.

Of course it does when talking about voting demgraphics. Keep thinking the world is laughing with you

You are twisting yourself into a pretzel trying to explain away your needless injection of race into a conversation.

Liberal and conservative are not a white or black thing. Except when your neighbors all voted for Bernie Epton.

My neighbors and I were children then gramps.

When you ask the leanings of this board, race and location are an excellent indicator. You are smart so you understand it

You did. The question is not do I, it is do we.

Dolphin is right. The suburbs and rural areas generally vote republican throughout the entire country and the big cities usually vote democrat. Most suburbs are predominantly white.

The big cities vote for Democrats because they think Santa Claus is coming to town to give them free goodies from the Federal Government.

I find it interesting how there are a lot of people who start freaking out when the Link cards aren't working. It's amazing how many people benefit from various government services.

Well, whenever they talk about a government shutdown of any kind what they find on the news is all the people whose programs are being cut come out of the woodwork to blame the politicians. The terrible politicians took away funding for the after school programs or something like that.

If the U.S. announced that it was demolishing all infrastructure and eliminating the defense budget tomorrow, would you somehow be affected less than others? Do you have your own private freestanding army?

good dolphin is also the guy that bragged about how so much of business and daily life there is defined based on what Catholic high school you went to in his area. I guess "diversity" is a good thing as long as you made the list of acceptable peoples when you were 14.

It's not my thought. Supposedly the high school you went to is a huge deal in his area.

It wasn't bragging. You just denied it existed as if the idea of alumni networks was a foreign concept to you

I'm not the one who has discussed diversity in this thread. I will say it yet again: I said the neighborhood was urban, Seacrest said it was not, I asked him to define urban, he mentioned something about diversity, I said Chicago is defined by neighborhoods that are not diverse and so, lack of diversity did not discount urbanity. Then Seacrest said his kids played basketball with black people.

The thread seems to have disappeared but it was more about how important it was in the area rather than just alumni networks simply existing. You made it seems like many business deals and other types of things were being facilitated based on the high school that one attended in your neighborhood. I guess we all have our own version of "diversity".

That IS alumni networking...and I never would have said the high school in a neighborhood, as you desperately try to tie that conversation into this thread.

I'm sure if you had entered the field of cow tipping the Purdue alumni network would have provided you ample business opportunities.
