Moncada and Kopech is much better than Giolito and Robles. Moncada will play 2B for the MLB squad next year and Kopech is a 100 mph arm with no TJS history.

Lets see what the other two are.

well... Moncada is thought to be the #1 prospect in baseball, so there is that. No idea about Kopech.

White Sox must've consulted with Theo!

I don't know much about the pitcher.

So, now you have your SS and 2B of the future.

I don't know. I like this better than the Nats deal on the surface. It depends on who the other guys are. I think Moncada has the potential to be a key guy in the lineup very soon. That's a lot different than a 19 year old guy who hasn't really played beyond A ball. But like I've said all along, I don't think it was possible to get what I would consider enough for Sale. I just didn't see the imperative to trade him.

So in WhiteSox terms, ready to open the year in MLB.

Unless JR is trying to count his money before he dies.

A generational talent for a second baseman and Kyle Farnsworth. For shame.

I really wish someone other than Hahn and Williams were in charge of this rebuild.

Fuck.

The bigger question is that could the Sox have gotten more than this at the trade deadline last year?

If they could have, than this trade is terrible. If they could not have, then it had the potential to be great.

That's a real possibility. But if the second baseman is Ian Kinsler or Rougned Odor it may not be a terrible trade. Then maybe you hit with one of the other guys too.

This is far better than the Nationals offer. Moncada starts next season at 2B, there's no 2 year wait like with Robles. Kopech's lack of an arm injury is important too.

Any word on the last two guys?

Go back to the Nats with Q and take that.

I've always really liked Sale except when he's cutting up jerseys. Dude is a monster. It's hard to justify letting him go when cost-controlled, IMO.

Supposed to have a higher ceiling than either of those guys. 5-tool talent. But, you know the whole ceiling thing... most never get there.

I worry about that delivery. At some point, his arm is going to pop off.

Right.

They seemed to do it just to do something.

I wish I trusted their talent evaluators. But I don't.

Oh well.

Luis Basabe and V. Diaz.

I hope that's wrong. This was a bad deal...no Swihart even?

Baseby and Diaz...but landed 2 of their top 5, much better than Nat's deal.

Now ya gotta move Quintana and Abreu, could dump Frazier but get nothing back ..doubt anybody would even take on Robertson's salary..should be primed for a run in 2019.
