I know that the BA rankings aren't gospel and guys move around a bit, but Carson Fulmer was 20 spots higher than Kopech (73 vs 93) on BA's last rankings. Saw how well ol Carson did so Noah Syndergaard is an unlikely scenario.

Comparing Moncada to Trout is just what happens with Boston prospects, that kind of talk will die out pretty quickly over the next month or so while Moncada fades into obscurity.

Quintana for Giolito and Robles is fair. Robles ETA is like 2019 best case and Giolito's injury concerns and shitty debut have his value tanking.

The sad part is Sheehan had to tell Bernstein to dial it back a notch. You could really see Dan' true love of the Sox bleed through today.

They say that his fastball does not have a lot of movement, but who knows. Could be Kyle Farnsworth. Moncada is supposed to be a can't miss guy, but time will tell. Rebuilding was the right thing to do. Now Sox fans have to hope Hahn and his scouts got the right guys in return and continue the process, rather than trying to patchwork this thing again.

Assuming Kopech is the real deal and at least a solid #3 starter, looks like a good deal. Moncada def. seems like a damn good young player.

Hahn and Williams should have never been given the privilege of making this move. Their work necessitated the trade. It would have been a great first opportunity for a new gm
