Spiegs came in from the East Coast, if I remember correctly, where he was doing Sporting News Radio stuff, right? He had time to catch up on the Chicago sports scene (though he was operating from a base of knowledge that was Chicago-centric).

Spiegs is from Jersey but he'd been in Chicago for years and years when he got the midday gig.

Evolve beyond?? In the days of North and Jiggetts, the Score was at it's absolute BEST. It has deteriorated since, to become a poor excuse for the once great station it was. Danny Lee built a great station. It's truly sad to see what it has become.

Yeah. Hug a Chinaman Day. The peak of the station.

SNR was in Chicago for a while but I believe they moved to the west coast for a couple of years before Speigal got the Score gig.

Yes, Spiegs was in Chicago at WSCR then SNR. Then he moved to LA for SNR and came back to work with Mac.

The Bulldog Bob bit may have been the last gasp of this show and that was like three years ago.

I just want an entertaining and informative show. The Score is pretty boring nowadays.

Bring Jen Lada back.

She used to do Gas Money on CSN.

She's great on the radio.

Joe going on and on about the bible, Jews, etc., all the while "He's a homosexual" keeps dropping in the background. God, I miss the fun days of B&B.

Maybe when Terry's 500K per annum is off the books they can hire someone with a pulse and a modicum of talent. Doubt it because every hire they'd consider would either be a former underling or a Chicago media lifer that's been the circling the drain of mediocrity since the 90s, e.g. a newspaper or tv guy.

What? I was listening to YouTube clips of old B&B shows. Joe was the caller.

Is the $5,000 suit an actual reference? Joe saying it was the first time I had heard it. Sounded like the same for B&B.

Yeah, Joe brought it up when people were ripping Bob Love for showing up to Red Kerr's wake in jeans and a leather Bulls jacket.

"How do you know Bob Love even has a suit?"
"How do I know Bob Love has a suit?!? I've seen him in a suit."

When I started listening in 2003 I thought Murph and Fred was the worst show because it was fairly boring. Now every show feels like Murph and Fred. Bring back North! Bring back Hood! Bury Holmes!

Murph and Fred are on Saturday on 1000. I'd rather listen to them than Slappy and Grimace.
