Nice to see another "fan" showing his true colors though

But your also the guy who thinks Anthony Rizzo is the Anti-Christ.

So you might be a little biased.

Not the anti-Christ, but a grandstanding pos I will always root against. In fairness, my disgust for him started pre-Cubbie when he went to play for team Italy in the WBC. I've always been sickened by guys with little actual relation to another country play for one just because they stink like losers ridiculously eager to be on an undeserved higher stage.

Yeah, he might be a bit biased. RR is my guy but the only thing he despises more than a Cub fan is a Republican Cub fan. (Is there any other kind? /Col. Jessup)

Mark Aguirre wanted to play for Mexico in the 92 games but they turned him down.

Thankfully Mexican pride prevailed. But then again, I am always put off by seeing the Karolyis coaching the womens' gymnastics teams. The only exceptions in this area I've ever made were for apartheid era South Africans denied a chance at their own countries' teams.

Reader was years ahead of the others complaining about the Bernstein type Cub fans.

If the Cubs have so many prospects, shouldn't they be able to replace Fowler internally and not miss a beat?

You do not understand. They do not need him. They forbid him to become a Cardinal.

I'll take "overly simplistic statements" for 500.

Yup. It's a lack of understanding of a situation on Fowler's part. You just went to battle with a team and won the World Series with them and a month later you're now playing for their main rival.

It's all about the money. No respect for the game.

And yet you like Marian Hossa.

A bit hypocritical.

Hossa was a Red Wing for one season. Fowler was a Cub for two. That isn't exactly long enough to become attached to a rivalry. They didn't grow up in either town. Rivalries are still more of a fan creation than a player creation...especially in the post-free agency era.

Wings lost and that's different because he came to us.

Its okay for rival players to come to my team, just not the other way around.

Do the Cubs get draft pick compensation as a result of the Fowler signing? I think they do.

and then also it ruins the "Racist Cardinals" drum that people like Terry like to beat.

Led off game 7 with a home run. Can never have a bad thing to say about him.

perhaps he has agreed to doing his best Jason Heyward impression and crippling the cardinals line up for five years.

He's going to be miserable there. During the press conference he cracked a joke about not answering the GM's phone call or some shit like that and the Cardinals GM didn't find it funny one bit. It was a really awkward moment.
