I liked The Town but it got shaky at the end when they tried to hit Fenway Pahk.

Black Mass is pretty good. I had a hard time believing Steve Flemmi was the same guy who climbed the Moon Tower with Mitch in Dazed and Confused. Whoa!

Ahh fuck. I've seen most of Fever Pitch. Still don't know the gifs before that, though.

I have never been to Boston, but I imagine it's a city filled with people just like IMU with an accent.

I've been there a few times. It's as insulated as one would expect. Luckily my good buddy moved back to IL, so I have no reason to go back to Southie.

Southie people are a different breed. A friend of mine lives north of Boston. Her kid is 16 now but when he was five or six she signed him up for a soccer camp that was run by the old Patriots placekicker, John Smith. The kid was at his dad's house on Sunday and he forget his backpack that had his little cleats and his gym shoes in it. So Monday morning my friend was frantically trying to find him an appropriate pair of shoes that he could wear to play soccer. She went to ask her neighbor who had a daughter about the same age but all she had was a pair of Strawberry Shortcake shoes that lit up. It was getting late so she figured she had no choice if he was going to go. When she picked the kid up after the camp that day, he was all upset because some kid from Southie named Tommy gave him a bad time about the shoes. I wasn't really surprised. He didn't really want to go the next day but she had paid like $250 for the week so she made him go. When she saw Tommy she was shocked that he was a little weaselly looking punk about half the size of her kid. She called me and asked if it was okay for her to tell her kid to just knock him down. We decided that wasn't a great idea. He probably wouldn't have anyway. He was always a very nice kid.

I think you've told us that story. That's fine but if this starts getting like my grandma where I hear the same stories over and over again, I'm gonna lose it.

I can't live thru hearing the same story every 6 months. My mom does it too, I hope I don't. They start the story the same way, tell it the same way everytime. About halfway thru the story that I've heard the millionth time I want to claw my face off.

But yes everything is irritating me right now. It's crunch time. And I did not mean for it to sound harsh.

I was in that old town area during the making of that post bank robbery chase scene. They closed down the street and I got a good glimpse of the making of.

I like the movie.

 That's how old people are, Spaulding. In a few years you can meet me at McDonald's for senior coffee.

I didn't realize how much of a thing that really is. Frightening.

I give the old timers credit for getting out and doing something.

Great, or maybe we could get together and just eat a bunch of caramels. Maybe this is why you got the senior menu.

Senior coffee? Absolutely is.
