come for the fact that george lucas disowned it, stay for the "in her prime lea thompson"

...or wait, is it "come for the in her prime lea thompson" and maybe think something grandiose about george lucas during the cigarette afterwards? hmmm

the first 25-35 minutes when it's an oddball comedy and the last 15 minutes when it becomes a horror movie is entertaining. there is a large block of that film that is extremely boring, including the stupid spruce goose sequence and the traffic jam.

I like Constantine.
And gone in 60 seconds is pretty good except for the end.

I haven't watched Gung Ho in 30 years. I did love Mr. Mom back in the day. Teri Garr. Grrrrrr. Also, I love Michael Keaton and the original Batmans.

Bane was fine. Didn't have an issue. But I don't watch because of Bane. I enjoyed the hero redemption story, the sacrifice, and the secret life aspects. Pretty cool.

Ledger's The Joker was amazing and the best thing of the entire trilogy.

That movie was truly the embodiment of "when are they going to get to the fireworks factory?" Batman is in jail for half the fucking movie.

Along the same lines, A Christmas Story.

That movie is absolute garbage, but my wife's family loves it so its on ALL DAY on Christmas Day. Almost every year around Christmastime I have this dream that during the fight sequence, Farkus pulls out a switchblade and stabs Ralphie. Then its on for 24 fucking hours on TNT, and the swtichblade never comes out :(

"A Christmas Story" is not absolute garbage.

It's probably the best representation of what Christmas is like as a kid.

This.

It's a treasure.

Seeing it 24 hours a day may cause me to want to kill people too.

What exactly was terrible about his childhood besides living in Indiana?

Fun Fact #803; Jason Bonham, son of Zeppelin's John Bonham, plays the drummer in that movie. He was the only one who was really playing an instrument.

The Patriot becomes a very interesting movie when it is understood as an allegory for the emrgence of the contemporary right-wing militia movement.
