Fuck you

My father was 80 and frail before he died. These were his exact settings.

My grandma is 89...keeps her townhouse at like 86. I know I need to replace windows and stuff in my house. Gets pretty drafty.

I don't go below 78 in the summer and I rarely go above 67 in the winter.

78 indoors in the summer is rough.

Growing up poor in a shitty space heater non air conditioned apartment, a young Brogue vowed when he got older he would never again be hot in the summer nor cold in the winter in his own fucking house so the answer is as much as it takes to stay warm. I believe we are currently at 74.

70 in the winter.

In the summer I can take the heat. I won't put on the air unless it's 90 plus. Sometimes not even then if there is a nice breeze with low humidity. YOU CAN OPEN THE WINDOWS PEOPLE.

I once saw a $500 gas bill and a $200+ light bill and not freezing or being really hot were my primary goals. When it's -18F MANY would agree that 67F is fine. When it's 95F MANY would agree that 78 is fine.

71-72 in the winter, 70 if it isn't that cold. I live on the first floor of a condo building so my place can get cold in the winter. As a trade off, stays pretty cool over the summer.

My box usually holds about 2 degrees warmer than the outside temp.

Any room's temperature is that room's room temperature.

71-73, year around.

When it gets really cold like this weekend, usually bump it up a few degrees because our house is insulated about as well as a cardboard box. Some of the colder spots/rooms will be freezing even though thermostat says the house is 72.

I've got it set at 78 right now. In the summer I wouldn't even turn on the air conditioning if my wife didn't cry about the heat.

I have my thermostat programmed to kick the heat to 63 at 9am, 68 at 5pm, and 66 at 2am. I'll override it when I'm home to 66-68 during the day and 70 when i go to bed.

In the summer, similar deal: 80 at 9am, 72 at 5pm, 70 at 9pm.

True enough, but I've liked it hot my entire life. Oddly enough, the summer can often be worse. I hate walking into a restaurant on a 95 degree day and they got the air conditioning set to 62 as if that's going to compensate for the heat outside.

That's an issue at my work...in the summer the plant area can easily get over 100....then the offices are air conditioned of course. When you have to go back and forth it's rough

I like it hot too. I could go without A/C but wife is afraid someone will crawl through an open window and kill us all.

Fucking A. This is one of my great pet peeves in life. Fucking go to a restaurant in the middle of summer and have to bring in a god damn sweatshirt / pull over. Ridiculous.
