I am sitting in the Denver airport slightly bored, definitely drinky, while the enjoying the entertainment that this forum provides. The thoughts below are meant to be light hearted, positive, and sincere.

The winner is the guy at the bottom of my list with runner ups as follows:

Dr. Ken- Your legend is growing by the week. Your smooth voice on the podcats has already taken this place to the next level. You were universally loved before the whole podcast thingy, and I am thoroughly impressed by your talents.

Brick- Ok this is a can of worms for me. I love you and hate you at the same time, in equal proportions. But consider this- the worst thing someone can say about you a person is that you're forgettable. And in no world is Brick forgettable. He has a style that everyone has to rise up and take notice.

PM- Do you want to get drunk and have fun? Uh yes. PM is your guy. Love him.

The Big Three, Seacrest, Jorr AND Nas- You saved this place. You let the free market work. I thank you for that.

Don Tiny- How does one person interject so perfectly in nearly every thread. Has he ever made a bad post? Well probably. But he has a 99.something posting success percentage.

Leash- You're inside motherfuckers' heads on a daily basis. The new master troll. I sit back and laugh resisting the urge to bite on his glittering bait.

FF- No. Your thoughts wouldn't be good even on the top of the line Weber grill with Chus cooking. But we love you for that.

Chus- Your stock rose after that podcast. You largely disarmed your critics with your down to earth style.

DB- I always appreciated your work. You seem to be posting more frequently, and I find you to be a must read. Which is to say, the one word or simple sentence response. You have always been the king of responding in the most pithy manner but with the biggest impact. You make me laugh. Sure, I'm easily amused, but that's the whole point of this place.

Juice/Julie- I only say Julie because your board name still looks like Julie. You'll forever be tied to DiCaro. And DiCaro has been in the board's head for a while now.

Rogue- Remo Williams is no longer just a man in an underrated movie.

Ok I am sure I missed a few of you. I still love you all. I wanted to pick a darkhorse winner.....

Terry's Peeps- Yeah, there I said it. You don't like it? Well that's your problem. I suggest you just search his posts and read 50 or so. He is funny, understated, and a generally good guy. He's my guy for 2016.

speeps must have given you a bunch of e-grabass over the course of the year because that's his forte. i said years ago (back during the ReVolution i think?) that he's a politician at heart and he reminds me of that time that encephala (aka "encephallus" cuz i give everyone nicknames) was called a "pillar of WATMM" and i was like "huh?" -- same general concept here, and that's nothing against speeps insomuchas yeah he posts a lot, yeah i'm sure if i stopped and read 50 of them they'd be better than i think (kind of like that revelation i had about don tiny a few years back) --- but i'll be damned if off the top of my head i can't remember a goddamn thing the guy has ever said in terms of opinions/beliefs/etc....

...combine that with his generally affable presence where he puts in work to circlejerk and/or e-grabass enough to make everyone, let alone THE MAN, feel good about themselves.... tell me where i was wrong about the whole "speeps is a politician at heart" thing. that comes in handy when it's "awards season" here or that loathsome final four bullshit that i hope the new iteration/continuation of the board can do without in the future.

that said, in the past i've noted that this award should be called the Curious Hair Poster of the Year Award (brought to you by Brown's Chicken) so i think i've pretty much "shown my hand" in regards to finding no evidence in 2016 to disprove my long-held belief that Curious Hair is the best poster on the boar. however, given that this is a dennis THE MAN thread and he's got his weird passive/aggro gayness for CH he won't even get listed, so i'll just assume that this is covered by the whole Curious Hair Poster of the Year Award brought to you by Brown's CHicken thing.

from there, i mean, if you wanna say CH had an off year or maybe you just dont wanna keep saying the best is the best akin to not wanting to give lebron or trout the MVP every year cuz it gets boring.... man, unless there's a "straw that stirs the drink" award anymore i'd say JORR has the most impact on people since everyone wants to slag him off so much he MUST be doing something right. from there uhhhhh, well, you know..... idk. matches malone consistently brings the quality, there's that other guy whose name i forget but this year i bumped mr. reason from the #1 "rare treat" position to give it to him.... he's good. but beyond that, i mean, ball me biased, but it's pretty much 1.
