Anybody been there to get a haircut? I hear it's $20+ How much sports is too much sports if you can't handle 30 minutes away from ESPN.

I go there because it's the best option I have near my house.

If you need a quick haircut (by cracky) and don't really care how it looks, Sports Clips is no different than Hair Cuttery, Great Clips, Honeycuts, or a blender.

It's not $20 unless you get the other stuff which kind of sucks anyways.

Just get a haircut and it is around $15.

Pretty much this. It's good to be guy if you don't mind getting your haircut by an unfortunately tatted up zaftig chick .

The post cut shampoo brings the advantage of virtually zero itchy little hairs by cranky that otherwise plague a typical haircut, and in my case it accounts for 100% of the human contact I have, which is plenty for me as well as society at large.

Sports Clips used to a do free haircut for first-time customers. Not sure if they still do that or not.

 Does that include a happy ending?

In a barber shop with female barbers,I think that's a straight razor trim around the ball sack.

The one thing Sports Clips does provide is customer friendly hours. I have not run across any traditional type barber who is working after business hours and on Sundays. Even Saturday is an early close day for all the guys I have ever employed as barbers.

Every simple hair cut should be $17 dollars. That way you a drop a twenty on them and can move on with your life. I like the simplicity of it.

Not horrible if you have "easy hair." I would have been miserable going there when I was younger.

My local one sells a "season pass" of 6 for $90 including shampoo and some sort of neck massage deal.

But the staff turnover is high - I rarely see somebody there three times in a row, which is about three months.

Thumbs up on Sports Clips. I usually go after a particularly shitty day of work. The shampoo and massage that's part of the MVP is a great stress reliever and in the summer you have the option of going with the cold towel during the shampoo which is really refreshing.

I hated my treatment. It wasn't relaxing at all. She may have been clueless but I couldn't wait to be done with it.

Sports Clips?
Funk Dat.
Just call up Kirk Heinrich and tell him to bring the rusty butter knife he uses to cut
his own hair by your place next time the Hawks are in town. That's a REAL sports clip.

It so depends on who you get. I have had great cuts and lousy cuts. I think the cut and tip is about $20. Dolphin is correct about their hours -- their hours are more consumer-friendly than the typical off Sunday and Monday barber.

Still, I mostly go to Kenny in downtown Arlington. $21 + 4 tip. You know what you get with him. No ESPN though. Depending on time of day, you get either The Price is Right, Good Ole WGN, or Jeopardy!

I've been there a few times. Got the MVP cut when I had coupons for a free one. I don't need that. Big deal. Hot towel and a vibrating massage. Too much time. I just want to get in and out.

There's a non chain barber shop by me that always has $6 haircuts. So I pretty much always go there.
