Oslo your ass....one TO was a harmless Hail Mary & the other was getting blindsided by that old-timer stealing money from the NFL for the last 5 years by making an occasional big play,Julius Peppers.
He is the next Jay Cutler!

Ain't that the truth? Replace the name and the apologies remain the same.

I don't judge. I was there once before you save me. Now it is my job to do the same for someone else.

I think the expectation is that Barkley improves and if he doesn't they leave him as a backup or let him walk. What they dont do is cling to a futile hope that he'll improve for almost a decade. Also Barkley is costing the Bears like no money and he didn't cost 2 first rounders.

So yea, unless he's still having regular 4 turnover games for the Bears in 2023 the comparison isnt valid. Right now you're all a bunch of burritos who dont think you can sleep with a girl you dont plan on marrying.

If Barkley was the Bears 2nd or 3rd round pick and playing this way the fans would be going crazy about our future.

but he isn't. In fact, he was no one's 2nd or 3rd round pick. He is a twice cut QB saved from the scrap heap who is in his 4th year.

Ah, the good old days of 1999 with Cade McNown, Jim Miller, and Shane Matthews. I remember Mike North being a big Shane Matthews guy.

Makes no difference if Barkley, Hoyer, Connor Shaw or Cutler is QBing this team next year. None.

There is not a difference maker/franchise QB on the FA market and while Pace may draft a QB, his coach will not start him from Game 1.

Makes horrible decisions result in multiple turnovers per game. That's how it played out. Still, there's a chance that Barkley or Hoyer (or both) come back next season depending on how they address the QB spot. If they draft one with the first pick, there is a decent chance that one of these two are your Week 1 starting QB. If they trade for a QB, both are fighting for a 2nd string spot, and it would still be a good idea for the Bears to add another QB via the draft.
