100% this. And I have no fucking idea why Loggains didn't run the ball. Stupid.

I think if you go back you'll find that, in fact, the clock went from 0:57 to 0:47.

edit: nevermind, he did apparently decline it ... I thought the clock had changed.

Correct.

That said, it's not like this win has much if any effect on draft position or outcome.

Yeah. They have some great young players on both sides of the ball. Let's see what they can do in the draft and in free agency.

It is nice to see that they truly have developed at least some young talent. Haven't really seen that from the Bears since the early 2000's.

It didn't

That's what I'm seeing now. Don't have DVR, so I couldn't check it out.

Still, overall best outcome, if not most fulfilling.

Bears would have won this game with Goldman, Trevathan, and Jerrell.

Barkley threw for the most yards in the NFL today, in terrible conditions and with pretty terrible receivers. Like to see what he can do next year with an off-season of practice as the starter.

Not going for the win on 4th & goal was worse than this IMO.

IMO what was worse having the defense get beat on a bomb

I was listening to the post-game show on 670 and a few callers brought up the 10-second runoff issue. Hub didn't seem to know what they were talking about and after some time went to Olin who was apparently verifying what happened. They agreed that Fox should have taken the runoff and Hub said he missed the play. Maybe he was in the middle of his 900 daily pushups when that happened?

I would have gone for it on fourth down. Who the fuck cares at this point if you lose. Get the TD and win the game. Instead you let Rodgers do what Rodgers does.

Why would it have mattered if they had run off 10 seconds? The final pass was completed with 30 seconds left. The Packers still would have stopped the clock.

On the radio broadcast, they said that it was much closer to zero when Nelson was tackled, I am pretty sure I heard 17 seconds while the linemen were chugging downfield.

The replay shows Nelson falls to the ground at 27 seconds. They would have had plenty of time to stop the clock.

Rodgers spiked the ball and killed the clock with 3 seconds left, no way he gets lined up to kill clock with those ten seconds ran off. Fox is a fuckin idiot.

The game was incredibly competitive and they maintain a high draft spot. Well done Foxy.

Rodgers took forever to spike to make sure there would be no penalty leading to a runoff of time.

Fox not accepting the 10 second runoff wasn't a big deal. Throwing on 3rd down was the poor decision. Should've ran on 3rd to get closer to the endzone. Then go for it on 4th.

Watch the replay. They had 27 seconds to kill the clock. They were in no hurry. Rodgers took his time lining everyone up and chose to snap at 3 seconds - which is exactly when he should have.

While I agree with everything ya said, there is no excuse to not eat as much clock as possible, this was the 4th or 5th game I saw where Howard didn't get enough carries and I have only watched like 8 games..Fox is a shitball coach.

Bears didn't want to tackle yesterday, especially the secondary.

We are back to the Emery days of needing to draft a safety every year.

The temperature was nowhere near as cold as the numbers being thrown around during the week. Still, it was plenty cold. 11 degrees at kickoff and dropping. I was find at the beginning but over time, no matter how well you bundle, your fingers and toes get cold. I only left the seats during halftime. I have to hand it to my wife, she toughed it out and stayed up until the Bears tied it. I think she would have stayed in the seats but she was anticipating OT. There was no doubt in my mind the Packers would score and I told her to stick around. She had faith in the Beloved.
