Found dead by High Pitch Erik. It's been a tough year for the Wack Pack.

He was the worst of the Wack Pack. Just brutal.

The UPI is reporting that he was Howard Stern's sidekick. He was just a goof who called in to the show. He made a lot of excuses as to why he couldn't work, and needed the gov't to support him. Sounds familiar.

didn't joey boots fake being a tranny, or at least start crossdressing, to try and pump up interest in his webcam show/s or something? i seem to remember a point like ~8-10yrs ago where joey boots was constantly on a webcam or something, desperately trying to milk his "brand" (as heard on the howard stern show!) for any sort of attention..... i guess the big irony here is that he might finally get the attention he always wanted.... for about 7-10mins of andy warhol's 15mins anyways =/

incidentally, if anyone wants to read the thread about this on the #1 stern msgboard on the internets, just click here. -- i'm pretty sure you gotta create an account to read threads nowadays... it should only take a minute to do that.

He claimed that he served in the army, but if I remember correctly, nobody could find proof that he actually did. Then he said his PTSD prevented him from working. It didn't prevent him from running around NYC acting like a jackass, such as interfering with photo shoots, or his "interviews" on the street, or spending hours trying to call in to the show.

I always hoped that a REAL soldier would have slapped the shit out of him right in Times Square. Good riddance, dirtbag.

yeah senor chuse, i definitely remember j-boots being some kind of a shit-talker.... he always reminded me of the tall tales of crazy cabbie, except that i don't think that joey boots had any part in finding howard a decent escort to beard up with so he could run off and be gay with ralph after allison took wiggy to the cleaner$.

it's just that i seem to remember a period of time in/around the mid-late 2000's where j-boots was basically on a webcam 24/7/365 and he'd try to drum up interest to watch this incredibly boring shit (cuz it was just a lame fat guy literally taking up 80%+ of the actual webcam feed with just his corporeal form sitting in front of a computer looking even more bored than we were) so that's where i think he started crossdressing or quite possibly claiming that he was a fullblown tranny.... only to eventually step back and be like A-HA, SEE, I FOOLED YOU ALL!!!! and his legions of ~3-10 followers were like "dude, we know. we never believed you were trans in the first place" and rah rah rah blah blah blah....

...the other difference between crazy cabbie and joey boots is that cabbie like, you know, worked in radio and stuff and had actual legit modicums of achievement on his own merits.... joey boots? dude, all he could do is go "I'M JOEY BOOTS FROM THE STERN SHOW!" and literally pray that he was able to establish a cult of personality based around "mic sniffers" who wanted to be as close to the stern show as possible, so they'd humor this lameass who'd literally do well to have "that one guy who used to call the stern show" etched on his tombstone.... RIP.

i know he was a tool but i used to have good natured back-and-forth on Howard's message board back in 2004. especially during the ALCS when the Red Sox were down. Boots was a big Yankee troll, and it was awesome when the Sox beat them.

still sad that he's gone; the shit with him and Erik was entertaining. RIP.

Howard's message board back in 2004

holy shit dude, that's some kind of otherworldly "stern cred" there cuz didn't that board only last for 3-6 months or something? alls i know is that it didnt last long, as howard realized it wasn't going to be easy to essentially take over SFN with a place that he formally ran (so he could censor anyone talking shit about him or bringing up old truths especially about [$HE WHO $HALL NOT BE MENTIONED ON $IRIU$ --- yeah the tape teams scrubbed out baby's mama really good, didnt they?]) --- but when that fizzled out he basically went out and tried to buy out marksfriggin.com (hooking mark up with a job so he could turn around and lean on him like "dont put that up on your recaps" and/or "hey plz go back and remove that from your archived recap/s" -- to mark's credit once stern tried that shit he immediately quit and went back to keepin marksfriggin.com as real as it can be.

so of course, that endeavor with marksfriggin.com is what compelled howard to include mutt @ sirius with the advent of SuperFan RoundTable (SFRT) starting. mutt, unlike mark, was all about !!!OMFG HOWARD KNOWS ME!!! and would totally acquiesce to any and all demands from howard (most notably shutting down SFN for ~2-3 weeks of "maintenance" right when Howard going to AGT was announced so that way not only was there no "#1 stern messageboard on the internets" talking shit about howard selling out to AGT, but there was also no way to read old archived SFN threads with negativity about howard/stern-show.... this way casual normies who heard about the AGT news couldnt go search on howard and end up reading SFN threads about how much howard's show went downhill since artie left)

AHEM. combine that shutdown with a NEW AND IMPROVED SFN coming back (where the mods were quick to delete any posts insulting beth, banning people left and right for "negativity" / "hater" status... the backlash led to a bunch of us rocking kitten avatars and going out of our way to be as sarcastically positive about the stern show.... that is until we all got sick of the bullshit and just went over to dawg's (dawgshed.com, nee dawgsaloon.com) and pretty much that's where "we've" stayed since like 2010-2012.

TLDR = lol W_Z was actually on the official howardstern.com messageboard during the ~3-6 month period that it existed.... you know, back when howard had dreams of taking over SFN as the #1 stern-fan msgboard so he could promote his message of unabashed positivity.... even when the show was still pretty OK (last 2 years of FM were pretty weak compared to the first 2 years of sirius, you know, back when howard had to try to make good radio to meet all of his subscriber # totals to get all the bonuses negotiated in his ~$500mil contract =)

yeah, the site was *always* crashing. the little clique i was in with included rocky balboner, the one solo, and uprobinsassinsf. whenever stern was on, which was rare and at odd hours, the site crashed. when the stern staff was on, the site crashed.

i also hated the name "vagina corner", because it made no sense and didn't define the site at all. for the few months it was around, i was heavily into it. i was bummed when they took it down, but kept in touch with some of the people i talked to for the next few months.

i was also one of the only people who was nice to JD. and he seemed to appreciate that.

Once Mutt started appearing on the air regularly right about the time the board started getting censored, it was pretty clear that Stern was the puppet master.

I was banned for challenging Scott Ferrall's claims (he was selling his gambling picks, just like Nort) that he was picking almost every game on the board, and hitting at a 70% clip everyday. The vultures circled immediately. Joey Boots, who had some sort of moderator status at SFN, was one of the vultures. Ferrall went on the air on his national show, and trashed me by name. He had a full meltdown over me challenging his picks. It was pretty funny. I didn't even care that I got banned. That place went to shit almost overnight.

i never joined SFN because it just seemed like i'd be out of my element. i jumped on HSMB the weekend that it went live, and was in on the ground floor so i stuck with that one.

i used to read marksfriggin for recaps but i never knew his history.

i never liked farrell and that story from chus just makes it easier.

sini, when you say "she who must not be named" are you talking about allison?

Clearly. She has been completely scrubbed from the show's history.

there's a list of people that are not spoken of at all:

hanzi
lisa g
mike walker
steve langford
artie
stuttering john
debbie the pet lady

yet they'll still reference jackie and even took a call from KC.

in some of those cases i understand why they don't talk about them. but it really is like they don't exist at all. no references, no replays (except artie--that can't be helped really).
