Bernstein knows he has to work to maintain his audience. His professional status pretty much hinges on the ratings from the next year. Don't fall under his spell

You liar. You loved them until they made fun of your dumbass for calling from Burbank. We all know it, we all heard it.

I liked the show Mac did (HFC) with Terry years ago. I liked Mac's shows (MJH best of all) at WMVP and to a lesser extent with Matt Spiegel. But I have always had a strong disdain for Berstain. Condescending asswipe. The last straw was when I called to debate about the use of a 6 man rotation, which the Sox had used to good effect and Bernstein was railing against it. I called to defend the use of it by Ozzie Guillen, because unlike a team with a dominant pitcher or two who would lose a few starts to such a rotation, the Sox had no real dominany pitchers and the best ones (like Buehrle) were benefitting from the 6 man rotation and performing better. Bernstein hung up on the call, dismissing it, because if you don't see things his way, you must be wrong and had he let me continue, I was only going to make him look dumb. Because I was/ am right. I will not be surprised if the Cubs go to a 6 man rotation if they pick up Ross. It would help him coming off his surgery and help guys like Lester and Lackey who are a bit older as well as Arrieta, who has logged a lot of innings over the past 2 years.

I wound up not listening to the show, but wondered whether mac made an appearance? If so, for how long was he on?

Stop crying. You are coming off like a jealous ex. It's sad. We all know why you hate the show. It happened the day of your last call.

Far from crying, I am celebratory about this show finally dying. Perhaps they can get a decent show in the slot to compete with Silvy and Waddle. It will be interesting to see what happens with the ratings. I have to believe this only further bolsters the Waddle and Silvy ratings, with defectors looking for a new sports talk home. But if they could get Dan McNeil to return.....they could turn things around very nicely.

We all know why you hate the show. Bernstein isn't going anywhere Steve in Burbank.

Sorry I missed those in attendance

I'm not exactly the biggest B&B fan, and I'd prefer to hang with board members during a Bears broadcast vs a radio show you can't even hear.

Sorry to hear that Terry isn't looking well.

Peace out!!

I caught the last couple segments on the facebook video feed. I swear the last commercial break was 8 minutes. I saw Terry sipping a cocktail and I think he ate something. Unemployed Lawyer, the final crapper, is a bloated, bespectacled, soft-looking, nondescript, tofu-colored, vitamin D deficient bag of flesh. He looked like Mitch Rosen's younger brother. Dan used the last segment to shill for his OneStep foundation and casually dropped he is now the vice chairman and is now running the charity. I'm paraphrasing but he made it out like his involvement and continued stewardship is the main reason for its success. Dan was blubbering during most of this. Matty was texting about 90% of the time. Terry and Dan hugged it out for a few seconds. Terry looked thinner and had Skeletor hands but looked fine outside of the facial swelling. Crowd was good. I did witness a weasely-looking shut in standing near their setup during a commercial break rubbing his hands over and over. I think he was shooed away at some point.

Yeah, it was a little weird and I never truly felt like we, the Boers and Bernstein listeners, had really elevated this tiny oncology charity to the titan it is today, helmed by Senor himself. It was a little odd, a little forced.

Everyone on the facebook live thing kept trashing Dan for making parts about himself instead of Terry. I don't think people realized that it was the last B&B show. The 'Goodbye Terry' show is still to come. Dan earned the right to let the final show be about him as well.

I'd like to turn one of Dan's fabled "forensic accountants" onto Children's Oncology Services. They're rated nicely by a charity watchdog I looked at, but they claim to have around $4 million in cash or cash equivalent assets, a growth of 34% from 2014, however their spending on the program itself (which I assume is the actual camp) has gone up 18%, while their management expenses went up 23.5% from 2014 to 2015.

The watchdog groups love when charities have so much in assets on reserve, but management expenses doubling the growth of program expenses sounds a little concerning, especially because they spend a ton on fundraising (their fundraising expense ratio is one of the reasons they're not rated as one of the best charities, their percentile rates a 5 out of 10 score).

But hey, it looks like they've created a retirement fund for all employees, of which I assume Dan is a willing recipient.

All being said, my favorite part of the final show was when Terry proclaimed the dude who mistook Boomer Esiason as Phil Sims was crying, in the corner wacking his peter.
