Why aren't we all watching this with 50% of our sports viewing time?

My cousin is an IHSA ref and coming out of halftime of a game he was doing the captain of one of the teams walked over to him and said, "We know which basket we're defending." My cousin thought it was weird at the time, but then he saw the kid and his team walk down to the other end as if they were defending the other basket. Obviously, they didn't want the refs to say, "No, you guys are going this way." They inbounded the ball and immediately turned and scored an uncontested layup. The opposing coach went berserk. My cousin told him, "Hey, you're supposed to know what's going on out here."

The Louisville coach knew those millennials on Duke wouldn't care which end they were to defend because they will get a trophy anyway.

Seriously though, it's one thing for the players to space that out, but the coaches?

I am also an IHSA official and we had a team try this, however they didn't think it through. They in-bounded into their front court and then passed to a streaking player who was still in the back court...back court violation, Red ball, play on...

As another IHSA ref I'd bet there's a decent number of boys teams this would work on.

Why can't we have one thread that isn't infected by male privilege?

The story had far more potential if the sentence had ended there.

 I know...I had to stop & re-read the "sentence" a few times before I "got it". Guess my mind is in the gutter.

We had a guys team this year go for a layup in their own basket this year off an inbound play. Unfortunately they missed the shot and a teammate grabbed the rebound and went the correct way.
