RFDC,
If you think for one second,it doesn't sit in North's brain the ridicule he got from B&B when WEBIO blew up,you are lying to yourself. Kick a man when he's down has been a B&B trademark.

I think I just saw Boers whip his dick out and beat a man upside the head with it.

There's still hostility here, I believe.

trying what? A group of men walked one way and he walked the other way.

trying to make nothing into something. As Speeps pointed out you must have missed like a few secs later where they were all hugging and posing for a picture....

They probably saw jimmy's post.

Nice work, jimmy.

it'd be way better if their boy crane kenney was in there.... in his official cubs uniform pants no less =P

btw, these weird reverse-mortgage reads/commercials acting all "huzzah to terry!" = literally puts the "sinical" in "sinicalypse" =D

I had no interest in this , but the thread was pretty entertaining (especially when North came on) so you guys converted me, I'm on board now.

Is this at Real Time Sports in Elk Grove (have no clue, just wondering since they do a bunch of other stuff there)?

yes...I have been there many times. I had my 50th birthday party there plus some other family parties. I just never showed up for any WSCR stuff.

This is his last day and they're doing a tribute. Soak it up, because while lots of people who retire have a way of coming out of retirement and doing this and that (radio is a lot like pro wrestling in this respect, among others), I have a feeling Terry is going to go home to his family and just be done completely and we'll never hear from him again.

well don't forget we also are supposed to get THE book, you know, the one that he couldnt release while he was still in chicago media cuz he'd burn the rest of the bridges to terryville and etc.... so i guess there's that? i'll definitely buy a copy for terry even it's shit cuz if i havent made it abundantly clear over the years, i'm a terry guy.

also wow, george was so high pitched on that may of 1994 update clip i honestly thought it was old high pitched spiegel doing that clip =D

I've never heard the "towering line drive" thing in full. Oh my God that's good.

Listening to all this and the reaction has reminded me of one thing: Danny Bernstein has had an enormous influence on the station, and it's not really a good thing.

idk what's more amusing: picturing a guy named "GoldenJet" being like "wow i'm old" simply because he's old, or simply because of the "alcohol" angle. either way it indelibly meshes perfectly with the name "GoldenJet" =P

(DISCLAIMER: i dont know GoldenJet from a hole in the ground so i'm not saying anything personal about someone i don't know; i'm just doing a bobby hull joke/reference)

How fascinating to get Shorty George in long-form.

No, and that is why so many long time listeners are turned off by the constant vitriol, SJW crusades, and overall tone of the station. It was light hearted and fun, and the hosts were real. You would bust out laughing nearly every day. When was the last time you listened to Matt and Jason and laughed out loud?
