Damn. I remember when this station first started. Very first day I was a college freshmen home for semester break. It used to be a big deal when they'd be extended 30 minutes every months as the seasons changed.

Boers is the last of that era. I think what made the score appealing was that it was the proverbial little engine that could. It had that mom and pop feel which allowed it to try a lot of different things.

I think the corporate merger killed it for me. Much more sanitized now.

That is funny as hell.

Some idiot caller that was trying to indicate that something Boers said made him sound like a "Bob" caller.

I agree with you. It couldn't be what it was even if it tried.

However, he really isn't the last of an era. Those other guys are all out there and available. At least they have Lawrence Holmes in the fold.

I swear I remember the show being promoted on wxrt on April Fool's Day...I originally thought it was an April Fool's joke...WXRT's all sports sister station!

Same thing happened at the same time to WXRT...it really lost something special when they went corporate. I'm sure they all wouldn't change much...it was a big payday all the way around.

I don't think I'd like to sit there and have people tell me I'm a great guy for 5 straight hours.

Not that it would happen. But, I could imagine it being too weird.

Every time I see drinky passing the camera he's clutching his green solo cup. He's boozing it up pretty good today.

This is the Jason I wish would return to the station. He is essentially one of us who got a radio job. I wish he would just be that guy

Yeah. Jason is a very nervous, high strung guy. That's why he laughs all the time too.

Marbles in mouth......interesting choice of words given the glaring cheek issue.
