Sounds like even Greenberg prefers Mac to Bernstein.

I don't really listen, but I can't imagine Greenie and Golic is anything like the HFC was.

Mike & Mike was at the beginning but has since morphed into the commercial giant.

No. Question. Everything is better in New York.

Wow, Shakey Siuntres is on now. He was a great producer for both HFC and the Monsters. He brought a lot to both shows, including a ruthless parody of Bruce Levine aka "Sports Reporter Bruce."

I catch Mike and Mike every now and then. Don't know what Greeny is talking about. There show is nothing like Mac and Boers. They're ESPN safe and fake. Terry and Dan were nothing like that.

Man, Greenberg saying he took what he learned from the Heavy Fuel Crew and applied it to what he and Mike Golic do is a MASSIVE fucking insult to McNeil and Boers.

did terry even do a show with bernstein? if some unfrozen caveman lawyer from the 1990s got unthawed for this show today they'd honestly have no idea that terry ever did a show with bernstein. the only mentions you get about dan are stuff from amattacola and goff mentioning him tangentially/way-off-in-a-corner to the extent that you'd have to pay attention to notice that.

i don't mean to bag on dan too much, but man, you know.... "this is terry's day" and all, but at the end of the day this outpouring of !!! from everyone reminds you why "Boers" always came first in "b&b"

you know, the other morning i was flipping through ~630am television and i stopped by the ESPN2 mike and mike broadcast, and they were waxing poetic about ESPNRadio's 25yr anniversary and where they were b4 mike and mike took off. greenberg mentioned the score (not by name tho. good company man!) and being a "23 year old producer with no idea of what he was going" --- but i was surprised to hear that golic was doing a local chicago-market-only show with ome of the ESPNRadio originals at the time he ended up getting hired to do mike & mike.

i always thought greenberg left the score for ESPN in the mid 90s and then after 2-3yrs rose up to become the "golden boy" part of my nickname for mike & mike -- "the golden boy and the golden goy" (aka "why i aint ever getting hired for legit media" or "these are the kind of thoughts that kept me out of the good [jobs]" - george carlin) ---- AHEM. but yeah, i was really surprised to hear that golic was doing local chicago radio b4 he got the nod to go up to ESPN national.... i guess he had some roots with notre dame only being a few hours away. huh?

I thought North forced him out because Shakey wanted to be fairly compensated for the remarkable contributions he was making to the Monsters. They had some awkward on-air moments, Shakey was soon demoted, and then quickly became a rumor at the station.

I don't think I have EVER seen a kid grow up to have the same facial hair as his dad. Terry's was patchy and thin. Not exactly something you would want to replicate

Shaky got canned as Bernstein became BMOC...I think there was a connection.

I always liked Shaky's schtick.
