Watching it right now... hard to judge it knowing what we know now about computers/internet stuff, but even for 1996 this is pretty terrible writing. "For the last six months, we have been protected by the blah blah corporation, so it is impossible to hack our computers." Also, I forgot Dennis Miller was in this.

Two months ago, I saw a provocative movie on cable TV. It was called The Net, with that girl from the bus. I did a little reading, and I realized it wasn't that far-fetched.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT: when i used to make web 1.0 websites in the 90s (you know, the ones with "links" pages) i used to put a little pi in the lower corner just to mock this movie / have a little gag.
