One of your links had a fairly good explanation for that -

So why doesn’t the Clinton campaign provide some evidence that emails have been doctored, like publishing original emails? Experts pointed to political calculation.

By saying the emails may be inaccurate generally, the campaign can plausibly deny certain facts that the emails reveal. If they offer proof that a particular leaked email is fake, however, that risks giving the impression that any emails they do not refute are accurate.

To be clear, I'm not in the camp that thinks anything was altered, but if there were a few, the above makes some sense to me on why they wouldn't call those specific mails out.

I listened to some of the news that came out about Russia's alleged hacking yesterday, and none of it is credible in proving Russia's involvement at all.

Just because communications of some Russian officials celebrating the Trump victory were intercepted does not prove that they did any cyber meddling in U.S. politics. Can't they be glad for the result itself, as millions of people were in the U.S. to see Hillary lose?? She's a terrible person and an even worse candidate.

As for the motive they are peddling, that's laughable as well. "It's retaliation for Obama questioning the legitimacy of the Putin winning the last Russian election." That's a straw-man argument they created out of thin air made to fit their accusations against Russia, rather than being grounded in any facts.

But the media does not talk about the corruption in the DNC and in the Clinton campaign itself that was exposed in the e-mails, which is the real story; rather they just focus all the time on vilifying and scapegoating Russia. Sadly, the establishment is still alive in the Lindsey Grahams, John McCains and the main stream media, and they have no qualms about beating the war drums as a diversion for their heavy defeat in the elections. They would rather take the country to war than being found out for the traitors and criminals they really are.

Even if Russia had been involved in the hacking, they did the people of the United States a great service. They did what the U.S. media failed to do by exposing the DNC and Clinton corruption.

I hate to re-litigate the election but if this were reversed every conspiracy known to man would be attached to the Clintons and the Democratic Party. Putin made his career by engaging in this sort of activity. The one sided nature of the leaks also suggest that there was something involved also. Trump's refusal to criticize Putin for anything adds to the speculation too.

Does anyone really believe that they don't have something on Trump which could possibly be of public interest?

The notion that they did the world a service by helping elect Trump is pretty laughable too.

And the CIA exists to spread this type of disinformation on behalf of the executive branch of the U.S. government. It's really funny to see all these erstwhile Marxists suddenly embracing the CIA. The world truly has turned upside down.

Have we forgotten that Clapper is the same guy who spied on American citizens and then flat out lied about it to Congress?

If you put more trust in the CIA than Julian Assange I really think you're way off base.

Then why wasn't any info about Trump ever released? I find it funny that people on here that always had equivalencies at the ready for everything suddenly lack one for this particular case.

LTG, I fail to see how hard it is for you to understand the basics of this. Russia/Putin (or anybody in that business really) had a goal that they determined was in their best interests. That is how this works, always. Depending on those interests they made their decisions to hack and embarrass the DNC, Podesta and Clinton. Did they also hack the RNC? Maybe or maybe not but that does not matter. They wanted to do harm to DNC et al. They did that and the results should not be ignored simply because the RNC or Trump were not included. We do not have an evidence of someone on US soil specifically asking Putin et al to do this. Could of happened but again we do not know that.

So stop distracting and mentioning your point. Explain away or condemn what the DNC et al was shown to have done. That should be the focus.

How does it help Trump to criticize Putin when he has said it's in the interest of the United States to have better relations with Russia? This is a true statement, not just for both countries, but for the entire world. Clinton and Obama did everything to trash that relationship during their time in power. The only ones to benefit from a new Cold War with Russia is the military industrial complex that Eisenhower once warned about.

Also, by speaking out against Putin, Trump would be handing the Democrats fodder for de-legitimizing his own electoral victory. Hardly a shrewd political move.

They threw everything at Trump during the presidential contest, and none of it mattered, because the majority of Americans loathe the Washington establishment and "politics as usual." Trump's unconventional campaign spearheaded the "silent revolution." We should be happy that he won, because a Clinton presidency would have spurred a bloody revolution, which may still come.

I'm not ignoring the results and I really don't think that Russia influenced the election. I think the people wanted Trump to be President. I've stated that previously. This was a Pro-Trump vote more than anything.

I don't think that we should ignore what Russia did either. They shouldn't be hacking into computer systems and Trump shouldn't be throwing the intelligence community under the bus for the purpose of kissing Putin's ass either.

Trump's argument is that the Intel community is lying. So is Jorr for that matter. I don't know what your point is. It seems to be yeah they leaked info but so what. I also don't really know what this DNC corruption happens to be either.

People should focus on that in a way they focused on the Trump U payout I suppose.

I don't know if the intel community is lying, but I do think the spin on the whole thing is obviously about politics rather than security. Clapper even mentioned the dreaded "fake news".

You have to understand that Hillary Clinton was the Establishment candidate. That was who all powerful and wealthy entities and people wanted in office. Trump is a wild card. They have no idea what he might do, so it is in their interests to undermine him before he even gets started. They are trying to preemptively limit his ability to damage their interests.

I wouldn't put it exactly the way Rube did, but do you think it's better for voters to go to the polls lacking information?

Sadly, the establishment is still alive in the Lindsey Grahams, John McCains and the main stream media, and they have no qualms about beating the war drums as a diversion for their heavy defeat in the elections. They would rather take the country to war than being found out for the traitors and criminals they really are.

Even if Russia had been involved in the hacking, they did the people of the United States a great service. They did what the U.S. media failed to do by exposing the DNC and Clinton corruption.

This should be the takeaway but sadly it is not.

The fact that MANY people believe this is frightening.

I wouldn't put it exactly the way Rube did, but do you think it's better for voters to go to the polls lacking information?

I don't. Nixon didn't either. Crimes committed against our country's election to get that information is a problem. If I hacked your computer or broke into your house and released private information about a pending business deal you wouldn't be celebrating transparency. You would rightly be pissed about a crime being committed.

Honestly I saw nothing from the DNC or Podesta emails that incriminated Hillary. All of it looked like the inside baseball you would expect to see if you got a look behind the scenes.

Trumpets are a curious bunch. Never would've thought to see such a large swath of Americans root for a foreign country to undermine us.

You're really saying that a foreign government interfering in our elections is okay. We should be okay because Putin accomplished his goal. You're an American citizen right? You realize America trumps Republican love and Democrat hate and vise versa?

YIKES! I probably need to spend less time reading this stuff.

You need to read up and the record and credibility of Wikileaks and stop swallowing propaganda from Hillarettes.

This is a hide the ball trick. You're shooting the messenger. Like Donna Brazile trying to move the focus to the "theft" of e-mails to get it off the dreadful content of said e-mails.

Strawman argument. Propaganda that a foreign entity "stole" a U.S. election.

This stuff is not mutually exclusive- one can have a healthy skepticism of the CIA, Wikileaks and Russia. When Wikileaks publishes source material, like diplomatic cables, well the content of those is the content. There really is no spin on it. You should question their motives, like undermining democracy.

With Russia and the CIA most of it seems like government sponsored propaganda. It's near 100% with Russia. With the CIA, I can't tell propaganda from ineptitude. But you can bet they are conveying things publicly for a purpose because otherwise they just keep stuff to themselves.
