Sign up for the damn board. In honor of a time when the Score was just fans TALKIN' TA' FANZ, let's begin anew and have some real interaction here. We even have several talent promoters on the site.

Honestly guys, you used to be part of the rich fabric of this board. There were at least 5 major score people who would post here by name and at least 10 others who used the board just to snipe at their co workers. It never hurt their career and actually created loyal fandom

They could make a new account called 'Rich Fabric'.

I always enjoyed the guy who would post Mitch's memos. I pictured Mitch throwing a fit about it.

Been listening all show. Not one mention of his partner for 17 years. Very interesting. I think that says a lot about how he's felt about his show recently.

She did, she started the thread as "JohnBoi" I bet her fat ass regrets that thread.

Nope. I bet the last hour will be all Bernstein era memories

I saw Bernstein in the crowd. He's wearing a pink sweater. People are hugging him.

But yeah, Bernstein will get the last hour. I know Mac was on, but they should bring him back if he's still there.

It wasn't. B&B has been the most influential show in Chicago sprts talk for over a decade, but no one seems to regard it fondly.

Yeah definitely. In this case being the most influential has been a disaster. From the little I heard today, the buried lede from everyone was that the station's heyday passed long ago. If Matty is the new replacement... fucking hell.

B&B has been the most influential show but hasn't inspired anyone to be funny, clever, or to think critically. Sighing, bitching, and falling back to the phrase "bad at [sport name]," though, yeah, they're a regular Velvet Underground.

pre-FOTS/pre-[post-north]-era b&b did. i know i've mentioned the rising head of rich kotite a couple'a times recently, and technically there might be some "b&b #DNA" in there when i go and, example, call juventus "football methadone." or when i say that the best part about danny welbeck is that he could have your girlfriend laying spread eagle on the bed saying "FUCK ME DANNY" and he shoots his "Dat guy" grin and dives in... and proceeds to fuck the alarm clock on his nightstand. or uhhhh, you know, i guess i could say the whole [attempting] being clever thing with sports was likely helped along by spending a good ~5/+ years in my early-mid 20s listening to quality witty radio via b&b [the days when it was appointment radio. you know, when rex grossman came back for the 2nd half of that falcons game in 2005 and it was officially "kiss our ass monday" on b&b]

now i reckon b&b is an influence if you wanna come up with hashtags like #synergy #optics and now, evidently, #DNA. even tho i've personally bee nusing "#ArsenalDNA" since i first heard about "#BarcaDNA" being tossed around in the early 2010s when barcelona was trying to lure cesc fabergas "back home" from arsenal. idk. alls i gotta say is that i think some of my "dare to be [not-stupid]" stuff has to originate from being an every day b&b guy back in the early-mid 00s.

btw, sorry all of my witticisms here are all about european soccer... it's just that in terms of sports that's my newest "conquest" over the years so it's got the !!!/freshness factor going on. lord knows i've got a billion fantasy/baseball things to since regular season [fantasy] baseball is my favorite sport ever, you know, back in the days of chuckles "dinner and a show" zambrano.

European soccer fandom in America is funny because it's a circular firing squad of people calling each other bandwagoners but everyone only likes the same four teams.
