Just today I've seen a phony Gizmodo story posted as fact even though the update basically retracted the entire body of the article. This is the way Trump is being covered in general.

This latest stuff may or may not be true but they're throwing it out there to give it credibility. It doesn't matter if it's true, it's out there and MANY will believe it, just like they believe his goofy hand gestures were specific to Kovaleski instead of something he does all the time.

And then when someone points it out, the answer is, "It doesn't matter, Trump sucks."

Say what you want about Wikileaks, they vet their stuff and they haven't dumped bad info yet.

I don't believe most people find it "unacceptable" to ridicule a person who is lying about you. That's as opposed to making fun of a person's disability. Big difference. But MANY people believe Palin saw Russia from her house. People believe what they want and cry when fake Hillarys sing "Hallelujah".

Something that ends up being false doesn't mean that it's fake news. When they report of multiple shooters and it ends up being 1 that isn't fake news. Everything that isn't 100% accurate isn't fake. Besides they aren't reporting that the accusations are true.

Here's the thing, though: the doctor in the "Hillary's brain surgeon was killed!" story actually died, he was an actual person practicing medicine (he just killed himself because he was likely to be indicted in an insurance kickback scheme, but that wasn't found out until later). So, what separates and distinguishes what was done to the facts in that story that make it "fake news" as opposed to "a story fraught with inaccuracies"?
