If they don't stick to sports (especially) it's going to be a very difficult listen for anyone who isn't a race baitor and/or a SJW. Boers really didn't disagree with anything Bernstein ever said, but Goff will jump in with agreement to anything that is said. If they stay on sports, it really isn't that complicated although it really shows that the station sticks to what it knows vs. bringing in new (or better) voices.

I don't think Rozner is being passed over, he probably isn't interested and Abattacola shouldn't be a candidate for a drive time show. Just because you have been a producer and know the business doesn't mean you are qualified to be a talk show host.

This may give Goff more of a forum to express his racist thoughts. He's got the right host now who agrees with a lot of it and gets bored with sports.

If they stick to sports, Goff will challenge Bernstein on sports, or should. I'm not expecting him to challenge Bernstein on his sources that he uses for cover for most stories, but as long as the conversation is fun/light, Goff is probably more likely to offer a counterpoint than Boers.

It's disappointing that they probably never considered anyone outside of the expected internal candidates. They did bring in this other guy for the afternoon show, which is encouraging, even if he had previous experience in Chicago, but that's a small step forward with a new voice.

I don't think Goff is smart enough to play that game. Bernstein is usually smarter than the caller challenging him.

When Abattacola was on recently, he mentioned that Jimmy Butler wasn't consistent and he (and Rozner) suggested that the Bears needed dramatic improvement from at least 15 of 22 positions. He also went out of his way to tell everyone that the Cubs post-season run prevented him from watching Bears games most of the season.

Goff does seem interested in most sports.

I wouldn't expect them to clean house and I do give them credit for considering outside talent; that is a step forward. They can hire who they want, I would just hope that they did consider outside candidates for their prime show.

Good for Goff. From an 11 year old "Jason from Evanston" who called the station to the co-host of a very successful drive-time show. The guy realized his dream by working hard. Gotta give him some props for that.

I think he's probably the funniest guy on the station. I even used to listen to him in Atlanta doing nights pushing Taco Mac.
