We were at a conference in Branson a few years back. There's this cute lady named Angela that always shows up. Well she brought her boyfriend to the conference, which strangely, a lot of people do at this particular event. And as happens at all insurance conferences, people drink early and often. Towards the end of the night, we're sitting in the bar area marvelling at how drunk Angela's boyfriend was. She looks at us and says the worst part is he has whiskey dick.

Edit: If you haven't seen Cedar Rapids with Ed Helms, well that is pretty realistic about how these conferences go.

Pretty dull move in my opinion, other than the fact that Drinky got screwed. I guess my hopes and dreams of the return of Daaaamaanaa to drive Bernstein nuts have been crushed. I think Jason will do fine, just don't know how well he's going to mesh with Dan full time.

Goff will fall in line. He'll follow Bernstein's lead.

Why?

1. He fears and loves Bernstein.

2. He knows if he falls in line, Bernstein can carry him to a 10-15 year radio career. If Goff gets fired, it will be on him. Bernstein has his audience. If they go away, it's on Goff. And they'll only go away if Goff behaves the way he did with Spiegel. Which he won't. Bernstein will give him direction. Something Goff needs. Spiegel couldn't provide it. Plus Goff wants Bernstein approval.

Beardown, you have this all figured out. It's like you have the Score studios mic'd up in order to gain inside information. Your conversations are like real life reenactments, and your observations are clearly astute and well founded.

Bernstein wanted Rozner.

So, I guess we learned Mitch has a little more power than we thought. But, if Bernstein would have put up a fight, he would have gotten Rozner. He just didn't think it was worth it. He's saving that fight for something bigger. Cuz Bernstein thinks you can only use that once. And Goff vs Rozner wasn't worth it to him.

Rozner's a tool. I'll give the Goffball a listen.

Well, I was half right.

I have no doubt the show will see a post Terry dip in ratings. Then Cub season will come around and everyone will tell themselves how great their ratings are.

The truth is, Bernstein is not a ratings producer. He lost to the competition when they presented challenge. He isn't even the most consumed show at his station. The afternoon drive years of B and B was all smoke and mirrors.

It seems like Abbattacola and Rongey really fucked themselves over with their "nobody cares," "this win doesn't matter", "that game doesn't matter," etc. attitude/schtick. If nobody cares and nothing matters, then why am I listening to your show?

Not to mention both of them do some of the worst updates I have ever heard. I would think that would be an opportunity to show that you're a competent professional as both 670 and AM1000 have had update guys who have gone on to better things, but both of these clowns treat their updates like jr. high kids who grabbed the microphone at the grocery store.

Maybe Mitch got wind of him fucking a sponsors wife. Promote him to an actual drive time host and that info might become public and they didn't want the baggage so he stays put and gets passed over every time there's an opening.
