If the entire zeitgeist of the Board could be defined by a past thread, which thread would that be?

I'm going to be very upset at anyone who recommends the DiCaro thread.

The STUGOTZ thread of yore must be top 3.

It has to be the DiCaro thread.

OG Thread was another finalist in my mind.

Any thread that switches topics multiple times and becomes more of a repository or chronicle of events in real time is a great thread.

It's probably the zeitgeist of our country's internet world as a whole. A bunch of angry people getting angry about what some other angry person is angry about. These people are social justice warrior's themselves even though they claim that's what they despise. BadRogue and Julie DiCaro are one of the same.

The Deg Dave thread where he wanted to fight someone in downtown Chicago was what got me more involved in this place. It is something I will never forget.

You remember that thread where brick got into a multi page argument and had like 15 embedded quotes in each of his hundred posts?
That's probably the one I'd pick.

I remember that. That was around the time I really started paying attention to this place too.

I would go in the way way back for this. The thread about HappyHour Jason and the dog toys the Tribune did a story on. Not only was that thread great, but then we took over the comments section on the Tribune which was even better. I am not sure if that thread still exists or not, but I don't think it gets better than that.

Oh god, I forgot about R6chel.

Dr. Ken and I reminisced a bit about some of the old threads when I was over to record a podcast. Totally forgot about most of the more popular threads.

Big Fan Friday Night at the Fights swan song thread wasn't a bad look either. He went scorched earth on this place. Literally.

I liked the biker board deal .... pretty much everyone - regulars, ancillary folks, friends, enemies - all enjoyed a few days of mocking a bunch of dopey asswipes and joined in to 'invade enemy territory'. Good times hangin' and-a jivin'.
