Maybe they both really were caught in the crossfire I dont know, but the odds aren't in favor of that outcome. Vast majority of shooting victims aren't a surprise to anybody (even those who insist they were angels), and when they really are innocent the police tend to take those cases much more seriously than they would otherwise. If you want to take the word of RR, who obviously hates police officers, that no investigation was done I have hard time believing they were both innocent.

Now if he's just exaggerating and detectives really did build a case that just fell apart because of uncooperative witnesses or some other reason then I would be a lot more open to the idea of their innocence. But it really doesn't add up otherwise.

Fyi- I am not saying they deserved to die, but its not a secret that in Chicago Illinois being affiliated with gangs is not good for your long-term health. I dont know if you guys watch the news much, but gang murders aren't a new problem here.
