I went to bad last night hoping it would be bad enough to force me to stay home...wake up this morning and the DOT site says roads are fine...look outside and my driveway and street are skating rinks...after spending five minutes blazing a trail through some shrubbery to get to my car, I make it about two minutes from the house when I get a call from work saying it's a weather day and that "work is available for those who can make it in"...

...yeah, it will be there tomorrow.

A lot of people missing at work today. Main roads aren't too bad but side roads not too good. Had my tires spinning a bit just
to get up my driveway at lunch time. I used up two containers of salt on the driveway and I'll likely be chiseling a bit
tonight to try to keep it at bay.

Thank you Illinois Tollway for expanding I-90. I have been commuting from Dundee to Schaumburg for 13 years, and you have cut at least 10 minutes, even 20 sometime now, on my commute to and from. I haven't had to stop once yet for traffic on I-90 during rush hour since it went to four lanes.

Hey Furious, I was right. They did finish it by the end of 2016. That makes me 2-0 vs. IMU.
