I listened to an interview with on The Morning Shift with Austan Goolsbee and David Axelrod that was sort of a wrap-up of the Obama presidency. Sarabia asked whether these businessmen with no experience with making policy were going to be able to get anything done. Goolsbee laughed and said, "We're gonna find out." Then he went on to say that he suspects that because they have no experience, it will likely be left to Congress to make the policy and so we will probably see something like a traditional conservative Republican agenda.

The funniest thing in the interview was Axelrod dancing around the fact that, like most hetero black dudes, Obama is homophobic as fuck and was really against gay marriage. Axelrod kept saying, "It took him time to get to where he wanted to go."

As my cop friend Steve from Elmhurst will tell you, its the nonviolent assassination attempts that will really throw you off.

But you know Trump isn't going to take "the high road". He's going to punch back. For many people that's part of his appeal. He does what they would do. It isn't the same because as posters we're all equal. Mark Zuckerberg has more important things to do than respond to every attack on Facebook. A man as powerful as Trump weakens himself when he punches down. It also makes him an easy target. John Lewis exploited his lack of awareness and restraint this weekend and baited him into making foolish Tweets.

The attack on the CIA is a little bit more frightening. I guess you would call what Trump Tweeted "fake news".

It's really more about how Trump attacked him back than it is that he did though. There are ways to fight back what he said without going down to the level that Trump did.

I havent been paying attention the last two days but from what I remember Lewis launched a very serious attack on Trump and Trump, characteristically, responded in tit for tat fashion. Trump may be off base in his response and maybe reckless, but the way you framed it (Trump's attack on Lewis) is sort of misleading. It's a response.
