So the new segment is going to be them begging you to watch/listen to the Cubs 162 times a year. The rest of the time it'll be Jason hyping some boring regular season NBA game that will be over after midnight in Chicago.

Its a Chicago sports station, people are going to be interested in the Chicago sports teams, I can get their schedules in 10 seconds on Google.

Now wait ... I thought regular season games didn't ultimately mean anything nor inform about the post-season.

I can't think of a better first topic for a Chicago sports radio show than a Cavs-Warriors regular season game!

So they kick it off talking about a game between CLEVELAND and SAN FRANCISCO...this is gonna be a terrible show. I can already sense how bad it is going to be when within 90 seconds of starting the show they are baiting Jordan callers.

Why does it seem that everyone has to use the word inform these days in this context?

That was a weird kick off topic for their first segment.

If you thought those days where Dan and Terry were left unchecked to sperg out over the NBA were bad, enjoy Dan and Jason doing the same in what's probably the most boring NBA season in years.

You have to be really good to consistently catch all the references around this place. I feel like Parkins and the new line-up have reinvigorated the board. There is lots of life, and it doesn't all revolve around bad threads started by FF and Leash or Trump topics.

The big talking point of this show will be post-fandom where you ROOT FOR WHO YOU WANT WHEN YOU WANT and give up on sticking with your team through good and bad.

Unless its the Cubs you never quit on the Cubs of course especially when you're broadcasting from THE HOME THE WS CHAMPION CUBS 670 THE SCORE HOME OF THE CUBS CUBS CUBS

In my mind NBA basketball only needs to be discussed in the context of the Bulls. All else is going to turn over a large portion of the listener base. Besides, I thought regular season games don't matter?

I heard Jason referencing getting up for a better opponent, but I didn't hear them taking anything away from last night...

And I love the NBA. They can talk Warriors Cavs all day, apparently I'm their target listener.

And Jason does seem to be baiting callers. This Warriors team is really good but they're not an all time team. They live by the jumpshot, first and foremost...and that can fall apart in the playoffs. The difference is they have a guy now they can go iso with in Durant...they may look like a different team in the finals this year, I suppose...

That's crazy talk. A lot of great storylines and Westbrook and Harden are having two of the best regular seasons of all time so far.

I agree. I would sooner listen to Score hosts talk about no sports at all than stuff going on around non-NFL leagues. That's what ESPN is for. There are so many topics I'd rather hear on a radio show than appreciating Gregg Popovich's greatness.

Yeah and the Columbus Blue Jackets won 16 games in a row but nobody gives a fuck about that either.

Well they have Miller on talking NFL and Goff so far has only chimed in to comment on how he likes Shaq Mason "a lot". Shaq Mason played at Georgia Tech.

I am with CH here. There are some great individual performances, but most seasons have those. I have tried really hard to watch the Bulls, maybe pieces of 30 games so far, and I just don't see a lot of compelling play.

As for out of market teams, I only watch out of market NFL. There's way too many games in other sports to follow the entire league.

Yeah, we have five pro teams and a handful of college teams of varying proximity and/or relevance. In the immortal words of Rob Ford, we have plenty to eat at home! Outside Senor, Jason, and FavreFan's coterie of basketball nerds, who here cares about what a stud James Harden is?

Have an NFL draft expert on and wait until the very end to ask him about the Bears, who pick #3 in this year's draft. God, fuck this show.

I'm as down on the Bears as anyone here and even I can't believe how stupid that is.
