I tuned in and thought i was listening to non-grobber overnight. Parkins sounds like an anonymous national host - like a Todd wright tonight kind of thing. I'll listen - I don't hate Spiegs apparently unlike everyone else - but it doesn't sound like the score.

The red flags so far: story about being conceived during Super Bowl XX halftime (creepy); Spiegs says he likes that Parkins has grand visions of where Chicago sports talk radio should go. Also, some alarming usage of the word "evolved" today.

I think the awkwardness sounds like voice difference and timing to me more than subject matter or points of view. Maybe time can fix that. I still find in unbelievable that they only spoke for the first time the day before the first show. At a minimum the team thought towards modern job interviews would have called for a meeting of them during the decision process.
