Inspired by the idiot Chris Rongey. What's the best game or sports moment you've ever seen that you in no way had any fan allegiances involved with?

I'd have to think about this some more but the Davis Tyree catch and that Super Bowl would have to be in my top 5 without a doubt.

If it counts it is Drew Brees winning the Super Bowl. It's not exactly what you wanted though.

Joe Carter HR to win the World Series.

Honorable mention to Kirk Gibson HR against Oakland in the World Series.

Since Brees really shouldn't count I'll say these:
Lebron losing in the Finals with the Heat.
Lebron winning in the Finals with the Cavs.

Giants winning their second Super Bowl, as I won the squares that bigfan put up on the site here.

Jaguars beating the Broncos to get to the AFC title game.

Doc Halladay throwing a no hitter in the playoffs.

Good call on the first one. The 2011 Finals and game 6 specifically would be pretty high up there. But since I hate LeBron so much that maybe shouldn't really count.

That SB where the guy came a yard short of getting a TD to win or tie the game.

It was so memorable I don't remember the details.

Mike Jones I think? Rams Titans. Yeah that was great.

yep,I seem to remember Curt Warner being involved but one year blends in to the next unless it's a Chicago team.

Lebron winning with the Cavs is probably it for me.

If nothing else, because of this:

LeBron's 48 and 25 straight or whatever against Detroit is on the short list too. I can still clearly remember that game as it was unfolding and just being awestruck

Rams Titans in 2001?

I would say the Giants beating the Patriots to ruin their perfect season. The helmut catch.

Maybe not in the rules, but the Bartman game also stands out. I remember laughing in the sense of it is serious. It seems like it was out of some disaster movie script or something. Can still remember Derrick Lee clearing the bases with a double and wondering how it happened. And it was about to get much worse.

Shoutout to the Malace at the Palace too. Watched that game live when I was a senior in HS and remember calling all my friends and telling them to turn on TNT. Not the best obviously, but it will probably be among the most memorable sports moments I've witnessed as long as I live.

1991 Game 6 World Series. Kirby Puckett hits a walk off HR to force game 7. For whatever reason that one comes immediately to
mind for me. I loved Puckett back then but wasn't really a Twins fan.

NFL: The Tyree game seems like a good call.
College football: Oklahoma-Boise State. While OSU-Miami, Texas-USC, and this year's Clemson-Alabama were all definitely more significant game, I don't think I was as hyped for any of them as I was for that one.
NHL: Probably Vancouver blowing it against Boston.
NBA: Reggie Miller shitting on the Knicks
Baseball: The Red Sox fan getting the pizza thrown at him or any time Kyle Farnsworth beat someone up

Two of the lowest points in human history.

Joe Carter should've been done up for treason, too.

That Braves/Twins WS game.

Magic's post-HIV+ All-Star game performance, incl'g that final shot, was entertaining.

We were at a travel baseball tournament a few years back at a complex where they host tournaments for several age levels at the same time. You hear the fans at other fields scream throughout the day. On one of those fields it was the Sunday afternoon Championship game. By the intensity of the screams, I could tell it was a close back and forth game. Well of course the game down to the last wraps. The trailing team had a kid get a hit and as the winning run is coming around third, I see the the third base coach willing the kid and following him the entire way down the line. When the kid beats the throw home, I saw the pure unfiltered joy on the parents, coaches, and kids' faces with all the accompanying screams. Loving baseball like I do, it nearly brought a tear to my eye because that is the beauty of sports and specifically baseball.

I walked over to the third base coach and told him how I watched that entire play and how awesome it was. It reminded me how great sports are in certain small slices.
