From what I have heard, Goff has changed from his Spiegel marriage. This is exactly what yours truly told you would happen.

- The laughing has stoped by at least 80%. Which is fine. I'm not saying Goff should never laugh. Just not at everything like a crazed fool.

- Bernstein has provided direction for him. Bernstein drives the show and gives him the topics. With Spiegel, Goff drove the show and just talked about the drive to the station once the show started simply because that was the last thing that he did.

- I haven't heard much slang. Which was also not heard from Goff when he produced Lord Bernstein.

So, I win.

Now everybody can praise me. GO!!!!

Instead of "It's on" (What a stupid title, by the way), they should have the 5:30 segment be "What's up with that". A rip off of the SNL skit. Where they talk about stupid things people have done or said. You guys said they stole the TV thing. This would be a better thing to steal.

Although thread title screamed BD topic, part of me thought this was the follow up to the brilliant "it's on" bit... "I was right".

wow you know what this sounds like? right when they announced there was gonna be a new segment at 5:30 i guessed that it'd be some segment called "aww hell naw" where they'd find some wacky tangential news story/stories about athletes doing dumb/stupid/crazy shit outside of their proper sport and then goff could give some [much-needed] commentary on it, and they finish off the story/bit with the patented "Aww hell naw!!!"

basically, the segment was going to be a means for goff to show how worldly and cool he was at the expense of "athletes gonna athletes" akin to "manny being manny"... instead we just get him and bernstein telling you what the cool people are watching on TV tonight; same general ends as my segment, only that it's a bit more subdued and pre-watered down (and even "Defeatist" or "fatalist" if you wanna concede that the potential for your evening can't do any better than your couch)

...and now 2 days later here's beardown basically re-packaging my idea as something more PG (as opposed to my PG-13) except he went all out to add some intro music for the bit. jolly good show dude! obviously i'm me so i can't expect anyone to read what i write nowadays [thanks to my ~7+ year run here being "a shit/head"] but still you know, it's beardown; a guy who sees patterns in the darkness that most likely don't exist, so you know that stuff like this doesn't escape him. especially if this is only a little part of a larger overall [i]raison d'etre[.i] (if you will =)

oh yeah and btw, i had no idea that SNL has a like-minded skit to what my idea was because i, like most people with a soul, haven't watched an episode of SNL since in-her-prime lindsay lohan was hosting and i needed something to help me jerk off

He'll have to work longer than most with having young kids at 40 + and alimony payments. (Hope Ice Girl was worth it. ICE GIRL: I WAS) He'll be in his late 60s when that stops. He better hope the SCORE doesn't figure out his dumb ass isn't worth it. Safe with Mitch. But maybe not the next boss.

Bullshit...Goff has stated 3 things since the new show started: "white Safety," "black Baffone," and "peeps"...and the stupid Dr. Hibbard giggling is still there...

Plus, the dumb shit slang is worse more than ever...including with Bernstein thinking it is OK to use since his co-host is black...
