The EPA was the first to go

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/ ... li=BBnb7Kz

Quote:
Emails sent to EPA staff since President Donald Trump's inauguration on Friday and reviewed by The Associated Press detailed specific prohibitions banning press releases, blog updates or posts to the agency's social media accounts.

The Trump administration has also ordered what it called a temporary suspension of all new business activities at the department, including issuing task orders or work assignments to EPA contractors. The orders were expected to have a significant and immediate impact on EPA activities nationwide.

What's next? Department of health and human services? Sounds like such a bullshit liberal agency... lets muzzle them too.

MANY have no problem with this. Even though I can't remember one instance of an EPA employee tweeting out something disparaging about a President. I guess Trump is just a visionary. And I'm sure this will apply to all other agencies and departments.

This is bad, the silencing of the people. The downsizing of the agency ,might not be too bad He was elected to clean up the bureaucracy. This is just where he is starting. Education has to be near the top, I mean there are over 30 Federal agencies that deal just with teachers for Christ sake.

well seeing as the department of education didnt exist until the 80's.... and since the 80's america's schools have been falling behind other countries... i really don't think eliminating them will do much harm.

thats not to say the DoE is a BAD thing... it just wasn't implemented right. I think the real proper thing to do would be to fix the department... but its way easier to just eliminate it and let your buddies take over the market

Like I said in another thread. The silencing of the EPA is not out of the blue, they where complaining to the media about things the transition team was doing.

That wasn't what I was talking about when I asked about the lights out story. Seacrest claimed that Obama had all of the White House lights turned off after Trump won the election.

But since you brought it up....I can't find any reports about the EPA complaining about things the transition team was doing. I would like to read that.

Add on the major outcry by environmentalists over Regulatory Accountability Act and things are really getting interesting...

MANY don't have an issue with them silencing the professionals and trying to destroy the science so they can cover up things like Oklahoma.

im just terrified by the simple basis of the action.

you have an entire agency that exists solely to PROTECT something... doesn't matter what it is... the reason it is there is to PROTECT something... and your first action is to SILENCE what it is claiming?

Isn't this how the deepwater horizon blew up?

I don't think it blew up due to a twitter blackout no.

The Trans Ocean guy near the cut off switch was too busy fighting alt right trolls on Twitter and RT'ing Julie DiCaro to stop the blowout. Then Marky Mark saved everyone. Or at least that's how I remember the documentary. TBH I was on my sixth Manhattan.

This is awesome.

Finally a President who is actually doing something besides finding new ways to give "free" shit away to some people on other peoples' dime.

If you ever want to not fear Trump, its easy: instead of worrying about Trump, just get back to work doing whatever it is you should be doing.

This article mentions that the blackout should be lifted in a week.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-admin- ... tml?ref=gs

It seems as I thought it might be. They want the silence during the reorganizing rather than an evil empire tactic.

"Incoming media requests will be carefully screened," one directive said. "Only send out critical messages, as messages can be shared broadly and end up in the press."

A review of EPA websites and social media accounts, which typically include numerous new posts each day, showed no new activity since Friday.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer said Tuesday he had no specific information on the blackout.

"I don't think it's any surprise that when there's an administration turnover, that we're going to review the policies," Spicer said.

Doug Ericksen, the communications director for Trump's transition team at EPA, said he expects the communications ban to be lifted by the end of this week.

"We're just trying to get a handle on everything and make sure what goes out reflects the priorities of the new administration," Ericksen said.

Um, last time I checked that is a place of business - i.e. where people WORK.

It is not a gift when you have worked for it.

Nice try, though, hippie!

He gave them money to keep jobs in Indiana, even though MANY went to Mexico anyway. Carrier admitted that the "incentives" were a big reason in their decision.

A handout is a handout.

back off motherfucker. have you ever put your feet in the shoes of the donald trump voter? no because your a fucking libtard who doesn't own anything that wasn't handed to you free of charge by the government.

like panther piss said, someone like you will never understand because you dont know what its like to go out to work every morning on time, put in your 8 hours of hard ass work, sweating bullets cutting no corners, doin an honest job to the best of your ability, then go home and find out your elitist corporate overlords shorted you on the paycheck because their greedy as fuck and wanna keep more of the profits to themselves, then you gotta look youre wife in the eye to explain why the moneys tight, look at the kids and worry about thier future, look at the house and figure out if you can still afford it, then you gotta go out on election day and vote for that corporate overlord and his party, so until you do that then shut the fuck up.
